Stateroom access thing is not new, it was on my boarding pass on my previous cruise a few weeks ago The boarding zone is useless because they never use that in the terminal at all. At the terminal there is a priority line and that is what you use to board the ship.

economics of scale is a big factor for the bigger ships. it is more profitable for the cruise line to have a large ship vs smaller ships

on the cabin tv and the big screen by the pool will be the muster/zone they are calling and they will put in a message that says last call. in the various lounges like the theater they will make announcement there . they will be no ship wide announcement -
on disembarkation day they have a makeshift cashier desk near the gangway to cash out your account. saving you the trip from going to guest services and that line is much shorter and quicker

i have a cruise in 300 days, no shore excursions is appearing for that cruise -
i too have done it many times. give yourself a 1 to 2 hour buffer between the tours. do not book tours with a 1 hour or less gap

how does this work if other peopled booked the same room and its already been like 2-3 sailings since incident took place? any evidence might of been long gone since the stewards have to turn over the rooms on turnaround day
