  1. Luminosa is only on the spirit class ships that does not have laundries rooms They are also 3 other ships with no self service: Mardi Gras, Celebration and Jubilee
  2. this is why the charges you see pending is the normal temporary holds. they will automatically be removed in 3-5 days
  3. from what i read in other posts back in the day, not sure if it still the case now..but KSC is still open after 5pm, if you are in the middle of the tour that is in progress you can still do the tour. they do not kick you out at 5pm is when they stop letting new people in to do tours and start closing some parts like the gift shop area
  4. Norwegian is the same thing as royal with the bump afterward

  6. thats the way its been since covid when cruses restarted back in the day before covid you had to book shows online in advance. at that time, show reservations became avabile around the same time you made dinning reservations like 90 days in advance
  7. i think a bigger issue is the logistics with tendering I have done a few cruises that went to Bar Harbor and i noticed depending on the ship they run two different kinds of tendering services: 1) Ship does their own tendering operations using the ship staff and ship life boats or 2) they will contract out the tendering to the local tour company's that do those whale watching/glass bottom boat/sightseeing tours if those tour company say no, they can not provide tendering service like that used to and the ship does not have those tender life boats then unfortunately that ship can not tender to a port thus canceling the port
  8. best way is use the kiosk on every floor next to every elevator bank on both sides of the ship
  9. the same thing for those dolphins at the other islands that allow you to swim with them

  13. i love the 12-14 day southern Caribbean cruises carnival is doing out of NYC this year and next year going to places like Barbados, St Kitts, St Lucia. These type of unique cruises is soo much better then the boring regular Bahamas cruises
  14. Keep calling until you get a hold of someone knowledge on how to reprice. Last week i had a miserable time doing a reprice on another cruise line due to call center rep having inexperience with the booking system and not comparing pricing correctly
  15. I use Firefox with ublock origin and i have no issues with seeing reviews for shore excursions. I have a cruise on the Paradise in a few weeks and i am seeing recent reviews from last month to 3-6 months ago
  16. This brings back bad memory's i have of security at the NYC terminal when i was sailing on the Magic out of NYC last year. I had two cruises in June and August In June security gave me a very hard time about my small battery operated fan that was in my carry on bag. I had to like dig it out to my bag and show them that yes it runs on batteries and does not need to be plugged in Then in August with the same fan in the same carry on bag, no issues at all and went thru security quickly. security did not say anything about my fan at all it seems like security is inconsistency everywhere just like the airports
  17. As of 6:20am, the Getaway is slowly approaching the terminal in NYC and will be docked shortly
  18. i like the tote bag. can be useful to help hauling souvenirs back home
  19. in person is back, same horrible process that takes forever
