  1. Carnival changed our specialty dinner reservations (kicked it back perhaps 30+ minutes), but we didn't find out until we showed at the steakhouse. "Guy" (burger Guy) was in there with his family. When they did let us in one of his handlers came right up to us and said "when you walk by, just keep on walking - don't look or talk with him". I was like "I wasn't planning on it anyway". I might like his burgers, but I'm not a fan of "Guy" !! Tom
  2. Apparently it has happened - I'm not aware of the finer details/circumstances though. Tom
  3. Changing my subscription for this thread to daily (instead of a notification for EVERY post). I should probably make it weekly, as that would still be sufficient the be clued into the next PUP opportunity. 🙂 Tom
  4. I'd never order it again, after seeing (and tasting) the changes from when they first opened on the Mardi Gras. Oddly, the best entrée in the place, IMO, is the Crab Cake !! I had it twice last month ! Tom
  5. For what it's worth... Rudi's has made some cuts, coming down (quality wise) from where there were initially. See THIS post for details. Tom
  6. We originally were booked in a standard balcony, but Cheryl nudged me to switch to the YC. Most of our sailings on other lines have been in suites. From what I've been reading about MSC in general, I was concerned that if we went the non-YC route, we might not return... ! On the bright side, a fellow CC'er and good friend who we've sailed with many times (how many is it now @DGP1111 ?) is also booked on the 4/27 sailing, and he dipped his toes into the MSC pond just a week/two ago (balcony), and he's looking forward to his return !! 🙂 Tom
  7. It seemed to me that Diamond on carnival (200+ cruise days, aka almost THIRTY WEEKS AT SEA), should have matched to Diamond with MSC - but I don't make the rules! Tom
  8. I'll have to give the Amazon balls the float test 🙂 Tom
  9. Not sure when it happened - but in years past, they were like regular Putt-Putt balls, the last couple of times (Liberty, at least) they've been much lighter. Tom
  10. You could always bring your own putter too. That would get some attention!! Tom
  11. Just find some that are obviously over-sized (unless smaller is desired). 🙂 Tom
  12. I'll try running my VPN (Hotspot Shield) on my phone later this month and see if that helps. On a couple of ships I was able to get a 10 fold speed improvement - apparently by bypassing bandwidth filtering (as they can't see what sites you're going to, so it doesn't kick in their limiters). That's assuming that they don't have VPN's blocked too ! Tom
  13. General color is where the similarity ends! You could probably sell these up there - just camp out and spot the right people, lol Tom
  14. HERE'S the ones I picked up (they blend right in, if not brighter/spankin' new)! I'll add, however, they didn't improve my game. 😉 Tom
  15. Three weeks for us today too --- Seaside 🙂 Tom
  16. I purchased a few colorful ones on Amazon about a year or so back, and they're on my packing list now. Tom
  17. Ah, yes, right next to the Swinger's Bar (sorry, misread that.. LOL) Tom
  18. Twenty years back, in our early Carnival cruising years, I was actually known to bring toppings in order to turn their soft serve into something tasty. My packing list has certainly morphed over the years! Tom
  19. I spy "Reese's Peanut Butter" on the list. Would that only be Reese's Pieces or crumbled up Reese's ? (big difference!) Now, if they only had cookie dough !! Tom
  20. I've been logging into my acct (not via booking #). When I get to Cruise Details, there's nothing at all there about payment/price. It seems like there used to be... dunno
