  1. Let me get this straight... you reserve a cabana for the day (@~$99), and it includes a liter of Grey Goose? !!! Tom
  2. OK - I don't see that, perhaps because it's presently on a courtesy hold... Tom
  3. OK - I was looking under Bon Voyage gifts, and only saw champagne. I'll try to find that. Tom
  4. I've been spoiled, booking recent cabins which come with 2 bottles, but what about those which don't... can you purchase a bottle before the cruise for delivery to your cabin? I don't think Royal Caribbean does this, Carnival did (then didn't, then are again - limited)... Thanks, Tom
  5. Heck - sometimes I'm asleep by 10 (even on a cruise!), but then again I usually wake up by 5. Tom
  6. True - very true. We'd have access to Luminae as well, so that's a good alternate option. I think we ate there twice (for dinner) on our recent 14 nights - though enjoyed breakfast there more often. Tom
  7. Darn... I was just contemplating going with a package plan for a cruise next year. That sounds like it would be a bit frustrating, to say the least! Tom
  8. I'm looking at a 10-nt Edge sailing for next year and saw the Dining Package option. How does that work in reality? Is that 10 "meals" (where a couple could be lunches)? Does having that give you limited reservation times/nights? You can't really book anything in advance, correct? The last few sailings we were in a RS, so I'm sure this has a few strings attached or compromises comparatively. THANKS, Tom
  9. Thanks. I suppose they must have initially fitted them (on the Edge) with just the table/chairs? Can I assume the forward ones (w/forward facing window) have a slightly larger balcony? Tom
  10. Looking at a sailing next year. Suites available are S3 and RS, though it would appear that the S3 has a much larger balcony (important to us). In a few photos and videos I have seen of these cabins on the Edge, it would appear that there's only two small chairs and a small table. On the Apex, they appear to also have two nicely padded loungers. What can I expect to be out there (the cabin in question is a forward one w/window)? THANKS
  11. They called it burgundy 🙂 - but, I suppose it's intended to give a heads up to some places on the ship. Not sure if that implies any different level of service (I would hope they treat everyone the same), but perhaps to allow a quick glance confirmation that your specialty lunch/dinner is included? If nothing else, I think it does make it look a little snazzier ! Tom
  12. I believe he left the Reflection this Sunday. Someone on our roll call indicated that he was heading home to Jamaica. Tom
  13. yep 🙂 I thought for a period of time there (when they were switching around from AI back/forth) that there were some people who ended up in suites without beverage packages and such. At least some people thought that they were not getting perks. Tom
  14. Interesting. I'll have to go back and look, but I REALLY don't recall the 2/26/22 Reflection using that (the prior sailing). I'm guessing they must have though! Since yours does not list the Package Type, it was a casino promo - w/out the additional perks? It's hard to keep track of what's included and what's not !
  15. The same way that I will pick one gas station over another. Does it matter in the big scheme of things if I pay $4.00/gal vs $3.95? Nope... Then there's always some place at an exit where I pull in, only to find that's the cash price, and it'll be $0.10/gal more for credit. Then it REALLY comes down to how we're doing on time, and on Cheryl (who might be giving me the eye roll at that point)! Tom
  16. The card we had the week of 11/20 already utilized a chip (RFID), as did the new style card. It was definitely more easily read @ security points than the older bar codes. Tom
  17. At least we stopped getting/purchasing the embarkation/port photos eons ago, lol The souvenir ship cards are just another thing that our children will have to throw away one day... 😉 Tom
  18. I used cruisedig (.com) for our cruises last month. I was thrilled when it said that there was only 1 other ship in port with us in Nassau during our second leg. Well, when that day arrived - we were one of 4 ships there. Thus, I was questioning the accuracy of our situation later that week in St. Maarten. Fortunately, it was correct... we were the ONLY ship there! Moral of this story, trust but verify (with other additional sites)!! Tom
  19. My professional opinion? Not a chance! Might as well go to a kiosk at the mall. Use Crest Whitestrips for a couple of weeks prior to the cruise. You'll have equal/better results (for less $) with less likelihood of discomfort or sensitivity which could put a damper on your cruise experience ! I'd also skip any procedure which sounds like it belongs in a doctors office ! Before you know it, they'll be offering liposuction (port day special...) Tom
  20. After just getting off the Reflection yesterday, I thought I'd search this site and see if others had commented on the brownies @ Café Al Bacio. I assume that they're the same across the fleet. I only wish that I had discovered them during our first week onboard instead of the second week. Then again, perhaps that's a good thing. I stocked up on them and probably ate 10-12 this last week !! Other than a couple of the muffins in the morning, pretty much everything else I tried there (a dozen+ items) looked great, but came up waaay short! They appeared first on roughly the second day (see below), and reappeared with a dollop of vanilla frosting around day 5/6. Tom
  21. That's still much better than our departure experience on 11/20, where we didn't leave the pier until ~ 11:30 PM !!!!! Tom
  22. THERE it is... RIGHT THERE: "dek" --- Deck Phobia 😉 Tom
  23. Charges for chips in the casino will go onto your shipboard account, and be settled to the credit card you gave them. In every instance that I've done this, on multiple lines, it comes across as travel on my credit card.
  24. I can see where there might be some safety reason for having consecutive lifeboat numbers (so it might be out of their hands). I'd imagine that it's simpler if rescue personnel know that they have, in an emergency, located all the lifeboats from a ship, without having to worry about "Oh, this ship doesn't have a #13"!
