  1. Will Celebrity put together a custom shore excursion for you? And if so, can you pay for it with OBC? I’m looking at a family cruise where between the three cabins we should have at least $2,200 of onboard credit. I thought it might be nice to charter a boat at one of the ports and use up some of the OBC.
  2. My wife and I used to take around 20. For me it was patent leather to go with the tux, brown dress shoes, black dress shoes, a pair or two of casual shoes, two pairs of sandals, and a pair of tennis shoes. I don’t know how many my wife took, but it was a lot more than I did.
  3. You can try, but don’t be surprised if it isn’t allowed. There is/was a policy about not bringing perishable food items on board, How a particular ship/sailing defines that and how well it’s enforced is anybody’s guess. if it’s not too much, and if you don’t care about the lost $$$, I wouldn’t ask ahead of time.
  4. This isn’t just an excursion, it’s the land portion of an Alaskan Cruisetour. It’s more like canceling the first three days of your cruise.
  5. One time we were at dinner after leaving San Juan and I ordered a wine package, which they added tax to “because we were still in their waters.” I replied that if that was true why were the shops and the casino open. They went away for a while and brought back a bill without tax.
  6. I sure liked it. The bellhop came to the room, got our luggage, I gave him my left over loonies, and that was that. They showed up in the cabin in the afternoon.
  7. Pretty much all the bars have a Rum Mule on the menu which has ginger beer as an ingredient.
  8. Personally, I agree with Mark Twain - “Don't use a five-dollar word when a fifty-cent word will do.”
  9. It’s a pretentious way of saying he’ll be filming and editing.
  10. Well, the vodka tonic was for my wife, much like the situation the OP was asking about.
  11. Maybe I’m forgetful, but I don’t ever recall going to a bar and requesting a Jack and diet, and a vodka tonic and having them say “where’s your second card.”
  12. There was also a time when on their designated wine cruises you could bring wine back from any port, with their blessing.
  13. Not Jim, but Azores-Bermuda would be mid-Atlantic. A southern crossing would be more like Canary Islands/Madeira to a Caribbean island or two.
  14. Normally, I love it, but the last time not so much. It tasted like it had been scraped out of the bottom of the pot.
  15. And it appears only eight states don’t allow minors to be in bars at all, which is what the poster I replied to claimed was “US” law.
  16. The is no US law which prohibits this, each state has its own laws. In Wisconsin e.g., if the bar owner agrees, parents can allow their children of any age to drink.
  17. In Celebrity terminology 2D is a category, Veranda is a supercategory. It’s the same as with the free one category upgrade for Captain’s Club members.
  18. Good to know. I just assumed it was whenever you wanted like on Celebrity.
  19. Well, you are talking about a Teamsters Union job in Miami … I doubt RCI wants to touch it.
  20. The Florida Supreme Court made those rulings because the law was applied, and the defendant appealed (unsuccessfully).
  21. The state of Florida asserts some jurisdiction for crimes committed on cruises that both begin and end in the state, even if the crime occurred in international waters.
  22. Another important one. Estoy mareado - I am seasick.
  23. And the website in manage my reservation.
