  1. You are a dreamer! We just came back from Vista. Only one accessible tour was offered. If you read the description you see that they always offer accessible tours if you are able to climb up into a bus and the wheelchair goes into the trunk. For simply more they told us that we should book their private car offer. This is so expensive that the amount is never enough. So Oceania will not be an option anymore
  2. I am waiting for a correct confirmation since March from Azamara. Also onboard in May they were unable to confirm our booking for a cruise on Onward. That is the problem. I will not book another Azamara cruise until they do their job. Onboard everything was fine but …
  3. Yes we were on the same cruise and also on the next to Antartica. All in all there were many hours reduced and they were sometimes with later arrivals or in Puerto Chacabuco ( tender) 2 hours earlier departure. For private tours a big trouble. I think the main reason for Oceania is to sell more excursions with them. Too many guests did private tours. So I see also the new "offer" with the OBC for excursions. My husband is confined in a wheelchair and I organise always private tours. Now I asked if we could get the OBC for other things than excursions because they do not offer accessible tours normally. This is not possible. So we cannot use these simply more offer. I think after our next pre booked cruise on Vista we will skip Oceania for us.
  4. I wonder what happens with the included shore excursions. My husband is fulltime in a wheelchair. He cannot climb up into a bus. Normally I organize private tours for us. Oceania offers NO excursions for people who need assistance.
  5. I think it is not overpriced. The distance from Chioggia to Marco Polo is long.

    Quest dry dock ?

So funny. It is the same at home. Our help arranges everything different in our bathroom. She is so nice we do not tell her, arrange all back as we like; she comes and changes LOL
  7. How much does it cost? We will be onboard Quest in May for the Spice Route. Many seadays
  8. Same on Marina! Jam , marmelade and honey were out of stock.
  9. @avalongwe had balcony floor 7, friends had Penthouse suite and the same AC problem
  10. We didn‘t get any compensation. The room was the balcony wheelchair accessible. There is only one more but it was occupied. There was no other person who was all time confined in a wheelchair. Only my husband but they were unwilling to find a solution. The GM was Evan Willemse. He was unwilling to talk with us. Unusual for Oceania before Covid. The standard phrase at reception about any question was: We do not assist handicapped!
  11. Happy to leave Marina after more than 50 days! It is a very worn ship. Our AC didn‘t work and they couldn’t fix it! Hot in Brazil, cold in Antartica! The Balcony door didn‘t close! No chance for a repair. each 3rd day the same food on menu. We are booked on Vista and will cancel. We know about we speak because we did more than 25 Cruises on Oceania!
  12. We are on Marina now. She is really tired and refurbishes only in small parts. The aircondition doesn’t work properly. The whole ship is not in good shape. Many rusty things. I have over 20 cruises with Oceania and probably I will cancel my next booking. Food is not anymore as it was before Covid. I am very disappointed. Yesterday it was like on a party ship. People jumped in the pool and seemed completely drunken. No GM or other responsibilities were there to stop it. Very late the CD came. This is not anymore what you expect from a cruise line in this price level. With their policy rising the prices also onboard and lower service as they do I do not think they do it well
  13. again one hour later and due to tender… We also are booked to Volonteer Point..
  14. On the small ships only Sirena has 2 outside no balcony. The other small ships have only inside. No nice rooms for people who need such cabins
  15. I was so excited to come back to Marina after Covid and I am so disappointed ! The ship itself is not in a good condition. Outside rusty. The aircondition is not working properly. In our stateroom the lowest temperature is 23 celsius. Since Miami I ask for solving this problem. Nothing! The food isn‘t best on sea. Nearly every 3rd day the same. No fresh fruit and berries since a couple of days . Only melons and brown bananas. No Mango or Papaya in Soith America. Also these shortened times in ports! In Puerto Chacabuco the leave 2 Hours earlier and it is a tender port. So our private tour will be a problem. Also the Falkland Island is cutted. I could save a lot of money when I book Costa which has only 5 hours in port as an average. I am booked on Vista in August and I am pretty sure to cancel it after my return from Marina. I will find out if other cruiselines do the same. It will be easy to change to Viking, Azamara etc Oceania will loose us. We had 23 cruises with them and I think not one more. Btw on this cruise it in nearly impossible to talk with an officer. On our former cruises the General Manager was always visible . Easy to talk with and they had an ear for the guests
  16. we have been two times in Intercontinental. Good location
  17. We have been in JW Marriott in Miraflores. Nice.
  18. I was on Celebrity Infinity and will be on Marina South America and Antartica. I chose these cruises because for the Antartica nature it is much better not to step on the ice. We saw the icebergs, Whales, Penguins… It was beautiful! So I believe in seeing the same with Marina in January.
  19. Thank you, this is good point. But I need to know which brand they use onboard because I am from Europe and have maybe different brands
  20. Thank You shepherd really and LHT28! It helps.
  21. Does anybody know if the hairdresser on Marina has haircolors to dye onboard?
  22. If you prefer Sao Paolo go with the ship's excursion to be back in time
  23. For the short time you have Sao Paolo is too far. Santos is nice. A wonderful beach, very long. A nice old city with the interesting Coffee Museum and if you are interested in Soccer the Pele Museum.
