1 thing not mentioned in this thread, is the high number of kids due to spring break. I know if I was not standing by the sink mine would skip the hand wash a lot until they got older.

Ground floor of the building my company HQ is in has 2ft of water in ground floor. It's across the street from Federal Building downtown.

There is probably smoking in the casino also.

Maybe a little later on sea days? Also at lunch they have alter riser special that has eggs etc.

Assuming you got the upgrade bid email you can bid on whatever cabins they offered. I have 3 active bids on my cruise in 11 days. Cruise has been sold out, or not available several times in the last couple of months. Last friday a bunch of outside and balconies showed up for sale.

They have standard tables to the right of the bar. Crooners is also a nice place to hang out. My wife parks her scooter by the rail.

In the dining room you will drive scooter to the table, and the waiter will park it for you. And bring it back when rdy to leave. As for the theater there is a handicapped area at the top. You can park and sit on scooter, or use the seats reserved for you. Around the ship, bars etc you can park on a wall and walk to nearby seats. My wife has done this for 3 cruises now.

Right after the covid shutdown ships were sailing at 50% capacity. You could ask at passenger services and they would give you a list of available cabins then give you a flat price to upgrade. I got a balcony to full suite upgrade for 500$. Of course none of this is available anymore.

Do you know this from personnel experience? Before the new bidding process, I have asked to be upgraded to a suite from a lower cabin and got the credits. Most recent was in Feb 2022. When you could still go to Passenger services desk and ask for an upgrade.

Not sure about that. I have 3 bids still pending 2 weeks out.

Dont sweat it. My cruise has shown unavailable and sold out several times. Right now there are 4 types of cabins for sale. I still have all 3 bids pending 2 weeks out.

I have always had good luck with telling the servers I need to be at a show at X time. They increase the pace of the dinner to get us out in time. Reducing the numbers of courses you order can speed things up also. Main only will get you out very quickly. Then dessert at the IC or Buffet after show. 🙂

So what's the latest you guys have had a bid accepted? I see the cutoff for changing a bid is 5 days from cruise.

I was going to suggest ordering flowers from the gifts menu. But I just looked and don't see flower choices anywhere now?

Also remember that you do not have to complete checkin or anything else on the app prior to boarding. You can complete checkin on the website if needed, or just do everything at the port. No need to stress over the app if it is acting up. It does this for many people still. See the link in the bottom right.

Chefs table has limited seating. It will be difficult for 10 people. I think max is 12 or so.

Window suites are full suites with all suite perks. Have sailed in one on Caribbean Princess.

We plan on retiring in Mexico. Puerto Vallarta is one of the cities on our list. Just cant decide between mountains or the beach. We spend about 3 months of the year in Mexico now. I have never felt uncomfortable in any of the areas we have visited. I do exercise the normal caution I would in many areas of Atlanta.

Hey, My wife and I frequently use 1 players card on slots at land based casino's. Actually 2 copies of the same card. Trying to figure out if there is a way to do this onboard. Can we sign into one machine. Then take the same medallion to another machine also. I realize that this would be 1 player bank, but that is ok. Players club is not allowing 2 offers on 1 cruise anymore, so we want all points on 1 account. Example is this. Last Cruise my wife got a free Inside, and I got 600$ freeplay. I was not able to use my freeplay on the cruise we booked using her offer.

I recommend bringing your own soap and dryer sheets. Just a couple of each in a zip lock bag.

They can give you any available Minisuite anywhere on the ship if you bid.

My last cruise they served Lamb Shank 1 evening. It was so good I was sorely tempted to pick up the bone and chew it. lol
