I am about to sail on the Caribbean Princess in a few weeks. I have really started to notice all the balcony categories Princess has now.
During the upgrade bid process I can Bid on these:
Balcony
Premium Balcony
Premium Deluxe Balcony
Deluxe balcony
And a Window suite for good measure.
There does not seem to be a lot of difference, other than Deluxe balcony has a small couch. The rest is all about location. Aft facing balconies, Caribe deck balconies etc.
So I guess no more booking early to get that primo extended baclony. At least without paying more.
There have been a few posts about this. The consensus seems to be that this is not a very good deal. Plus people get aggravated by the sales process used by the vendor.
Hello,
In the past we have been successful booking excursions Once onboard that show as sold out prior to sailing. My question is this, We are interested in a sanctuary bungalow on Princess Cay. These show as sold out now. Does anyone know if the reserve a few for people that book onboard? We would try this as soon as we get on the ship.
It is what they call a Meta upgrade. So inside to outside view, or balcony, or deluxe balcany etc etc. I had 3 choices as I am in a outside view cabin. Balcony, deluxe balcony and Window suite. No option for Mini suite.
I have had cabins across the hall and nvr noticed machine noise. Sometimes people slam the door though! Machine have the "usual" controls. Hot, cold, permanent press etc etc. I would recommend bringing a couple of pod type detergents and dryer sheets.
Make sure to visit the International Café. Great place for snacks or a small meal. Food is free. Coffee will be included in your plus pkg. It is in the atrium, deck 5.
Also this is an excellent option for lunch on boarding day. Usually not crowded at all for 1st day. as people find out it exists it gets busy later on in cruise.
With Mexico's recent ban on smoking in public.(Similar to Canada's) I think that the US will follow suit in the next few years. Once that happens the Cruise lines will follow along.
No you will need to pay up front for flights. You can still swap flights etc up to 45 days prior to sailing. Also make sure you book easy air through casino. I have had casino cruises get messed up when I booked flights from the website.
