I agree. I think it is because it is out of the way and many people forget about it. I know every night on Mardi Gras, we would head to the Fortune Teller Bar and every night, we would say we needed to try emerils before the cruise ended, and each day we forgot about it until we went to the bar again.

Supposedly you can, but I have seen many complaints about them not answering the phone to schedule it.

I could be wrong as well, thats just what I thought I saw.

You can access Carnival.com for free while onboard, so it really doesn't need to be added to the app.

As another Utahn who frequents Long Beach, and just booked the Panorama for an 8-day cruise in 2025, it is 1 of my favorite ships and a favorite itinerary. I love Mazatlan and Cabo. PV is ok, and I look forward to La Paz. The Vista class of ships is my favorite, with Horizon being tied with Panorama for my favorite.

You cannot add it on before the cruise. You will have to wait until the casino opens so that guest services can confirm that you have the offer.

The rooms are much narrower, so you might have an issue in your cabin.

IMO, and its just that, my opinion. I will not do another Excel class ship again. Too big for many of the amenities that they offer. I sailed when it was still only 60% capacity and with the ship that empty, the piano bar was still crowded with many people not able to get in. The comedy club was still packed with many people not getting in. The casino was packed. Many times at midnight, the line for pizza stretched back to guest services. Royal has the same amount of people on their Oasis ships, but the Oasis class is a lot bigger than the Excel class.

Chi-Bang and Cucina Del Capitano are the only 2 that are more stringent on the after 7:45 because they are part of the Anytime Dining. You can try and get in earlier but they will give priority to those that are booked on ATD. I've seen both happen where they would allow you to eat at one spot and then another later on, and I've also seen it denied, so you're results may vary as well.

Wow, I wonder when they started that again. I know it used to be like that a long time ago, then changed to what was on your boarding pass. We didn't get cards on Horizon in November.

And I am not a fan of Eden. When I sailed with him, he acted arrogant. Couldn't stand him. I do like Jeffrey, but haven't seen him more than just a cocktail player in the steakhouse. And I loved Dara and never heard her talking like that.

Usually, the diamonds/platinums/fttf get the A01-A03 when they check in. At least thats how I've been getting the boarding zones. They haven't called diamond or platinums.

100% Horizon. I will not sail on an Excel class ship again. When I went on Mardi Gras in Nov 2021, cruising was still limited to 50-60% and you still couldn't get into the Piano bar, or the comedy club without waiting in line, decent seats at Center stage for the shows and even the casino was full. I dread to sail on those ships now. Most nights the line for pizza stretched down to the aft elevator banks by guest services. Horizon is my favorite ship and adding the Havana rooms, makes it even sweeter.

If they can't figure out that non-alcoholic drinks include mocktails, maybe they shouldn't be cruising. What other perfectly clear information can't they figure out?

Its a secret known only to those that want to book those rooms. I don't know how you can't find it.

Personally I'd take option 3 any day out of those 3. The Horizon is actually my favorite ship. The Celebration, which is Carnivals Excel Class takes a ship 25-30% smaller than Royals Oasis class and then crams the same amount of people on it. I sailed on Mardi Gras(Celebrations slightly older sister) back when cruising was limited to 60% capacity and still had issues in certain spots such as the comedy club, piano bar, and the pizza place. The pizza place would have lines stretching back to guest services around midnight.

Any recommendations for a day pass at a hotel near MCO? Have a 5:45 PM flight home and don't want to just sit at the airport all day.

We are usually at the port right at 10, if not a little earlier, since we always get the 10:00 check-in.

Wow. The steakhouse actually has a kids menu.

Is there a kids menu for the Teppanyaki? We haven't seen one.

I was hoping they would rearrange the restaurants on deck 5 and add the Teppanyaki. That is the only reason I prefer Horizon or Panorama over Vista.
