  1. The newly released fall 2025 itineraries were up and available for preview yesterday morning. Go look on Oceania's web site and click on Find a cruise and select fall 2025 dates and you will see the itineraries that will be available for booking on October 4. I hope that helps. Jon, where are you located? Perhaps not in the US and other O sites haven't been updated yet.
  2. There are new itineraries open for booking on October 4, just not all of 2025. Those new itineraries that will be bookable on October 4, are available for preview on O's website.
  3. There are new itineraries open for booking on October 4, just not all of 2025. Those new itineraries that will be bookable on October 4, are available for preview on O's website. That's how we discovered the lack of availability of itineraries for all of 2025 on ships other than Allura and Vista, reread the first post for a summary. The marketing of their touted 2025 Collection should be actually be 80% of the 2025 Collection. But then again these are the marketing folks who give you FREE WiFi and FREE specialty restaurants with Simply Less, oops I meant More. LOL I've always paid for those, included in my base fare. They're really trying to put lipstick on this pig, IMO
  4. I emailed O and here is their response: The season from October 2025 to May 2026 will be released in April 2024.
  5. Some itineraries are available for preview and hopefully they're in the process of loading more as I type. Riviera only has bookings through September 18 2025 from Seattle (ending in Tokyo October 8 2025). I'm actually interested in Asia/SWP cruises on O or A class, and it appears Riviera is it. FWIW, Marina and Vista are in the Med through November and December 2025 respectively.
  6. As a data point, I just checked mine for a couple weeks from now and everything seems to be in order. Hopefully this is a bug with Riviera's onboard system and they get it resolved quickly for your sake and everyone else. Time will tell AND thank you for the heads up. Did you log into your online account to check to see what it reflects? And in that regard, is Starlink available on Riviera yet? My guess is no as someone would have posted by now. FWIW, I'm on Oct 20-Nov 9 and will provide an update on its availability or lack thereof.
  7. Bookings will open on October 4 for the rest of the fleet. My GUESS is that the itineraries may be available for preview on September 27.
  8. While that was the case on pre-Covid cruises, that was not the case on Riviera September 2022. We tried showing our key cards and were told we needed tender tickets. We went and got tender tickets and were given tender tickets for the next tender, so almost the same but not quite as convenient. If this has changed on more recent cruises I'd love to hear about it, as we're heading out on Riviera again mid-October. I'll also ask our butler.
  9. Allura Itineraries Open for Preview on September 6, 2023
  10. Allura Itineraries Open for Preview on September 6, 2023
  11. I have to correct my own post. The thread I was refrring to was the 2025 Sailings thread. It appears pinotlover may have ben referring to the Oceania Insider, Allura thread which did provide useful information in the first post. My bad.
  12. And I suggest that the other thread be merged with this one since this thread's subject is correct. The other thread had no question mark in the thread's title so the title was quite misleading. I went there to read the update on when Allura itins would be released but only found the OP not providing the date when Allura itineraries would be released, but instead just asking a question. I was expecting the first post in that other thread to be the date when Allura itins would be released. Punctuation does matter. Thanks many cruises for including a ? in your thread's title.
  13. Ditto. The last time I checked luggage was for a live aboard dive trip to Cocos Island back in 2014 as I had dive gear. I'll be taking a checked bag again with me to Antarctica in November 2025 on SS, mainly due to hiking boots (for Patagonia), rain pants, long underwear, walking sticks, and the SS expedition parka. I'll be shipping it home after the expedition as I'll still have 5 weeks of travel remaining before returning home first week of January. I run hot, so only a fleece jacket for my northern hemisphere stops (UK and Vienna) toward the end of my trip. If I need something more, I can always buy it. I'm heading to Europe later today for 12 days and only taking small 18" carry on as I'm not even taking an extra pair of shoes with me. The lowest temp for this trip will be 55 F tomorrow morning in Amsterdam which, for me, is tolerable for shorts and self wicking T and quickly warming to the 60s with highs up to 80. Lots of biking and walking, but still taking long pants and shirts for dining out, although nothing fancy.
  14. While I did address the OP's question from their first post, I noticed that I didn't directly answer the OP's implied question in the subject. Yes, I book my air as soon as possible, when I see a good fare. Specific recent example: I booked domestic first class one-way flight from DCA to MIA next March for $473 because I had been monitoring rates and anticipated rates dropping to this level a couple months after the booking window opened. Much to my surprise the day the booking window opened the $473 (I fare class) price was available instead of the usual $985 (D fare class), so I booked it. Only one seat available at that price. I sent my itinerary to my traveling companion and she called a couple days later and said she was getting ready to book but couldn't justify paying $985 for first so was going to purchase basic economy for $325 or some similar price and have to pay additional for seat assignment and baggage. I told her to wait as I had an alert set up to notify me when I fare inventory becomes available. She replied, "This is why I always call you first". Again, I figured it would be weeks, however a few days later I received the alert, notified her and she immediately booked the same flight for $478. Done and done.
  15. Actually, to a great extent that is the formula. Monitor similar dates prior to the booking window opening as it allows one to know what a good price is. Then when the booking window opens you know whether to grab the fare or not. As far as first class is concerned, it is a dying breed. American airlines still has first class on its long haul flights but is the last of the US carrier to get rid of them, which is scheduled for 2024, replacing them with more business class. For flights from the US to EU, British Airways often has reasonable bump up in price from Club World to First and in the past that was quite important as Club World sucked; their new Club Suite is quite good and the need for First is no longer as necessary IMO. Also Air France and many ME airlines have first class, and Qatar has one of the best business class products out there with their Qsuite, and Qatar business class prices are often quite competitive. For US to Asia, you can't beat JAL, Singapore or Cathay Pacific fist class IMO, but they are a huge bump up in price from business class, like $16000-18000 for first vs $5000-6000 for business. You can actually fly on British Airways in first class to Asia (HKG) via London for around $9000, but it's a LONG trip, AND BA first is nowhere near as nice as SX or CX first IMO. And for US to OZ, Qantas is your only option for flying first and it too, is quite pricy compared to business class; similar to Asia price differentials discussed above. Another way to fly first class affordably is to use Oneworld or Star Alliance RTW products as they make first class prices quite reasonable; $9000-11000 for a first class around the world ticket. Sky team got rid of the around the world products when Covid hit and have not brought them back, and to be quite honest the first class options with sky team are pretty much limited to Air France, China Airlines and China Eastern so not a huge selection. Even Star Alliance has no first from US to EU. But the OW and *A business class RTW tickets are also quite attractive with prices ranging from $6000-9000 when originating from lower cost starting points. Prior to Covid I was doing a first class RTW trip yearly, but airlines have only resumed flying their first class aircraft in the past year and still the frequency of first class flights and destinations are slim compared to pre-Covid. No sense paying for first class if there aren't sufficient first class flights. I am tentatively planning to do a business class RTW ticket starting next April, but other plans need to be finalized before I pull the trigger. The other downside for first class is that if you are traveling with someone and want to sit together then in many cases that is not possible as configuration is often 1 + 1 + 1 across, vs business class configuration of 1 + 2 + 1 or 2 + 2 + 2. Now, Singapore Airlines does have a very nice first double suite for two on their A380, but for a price. I usually foy oneworld, so not sure if the Star Alliance first class RTW ticket allows booking of Singapore First Suites. There are currently no A380 First Suite routes between US and SIN, but there are between SIN and LHR; however, checking numerous dates all flights are zeroed out for A class into which the RTW product is booked and only full fare F class is available. FWIW, roundtrip from LHR to SIN in full fare First Suites on Singapore Airlines is $15,300/person, less than I expected. Well anyway, enough rambling. I hope some of you find this info helpful. The bottom line is knowing what a good price is in the current revenge travel era is the key, AND business class is selling quicker and as a general rule I have found prices increase greatly if you wait. Of course there are exceptions to that rule, especially for routes that are NOT in high demand. Same goes for hotels if you're doing pre or post land travel; book early and only book refundable room rates so you can modify your booking if room rates drop.
  16. For economy fares that is true. However for business class that used to be the case sometimes, however IME post-covid I have found with all the revenge travel happening that people are purchasing business class earlier and prices ALMOST always rise. An example is the Iberia business class round trip fare I purchased 354 days out (many non-US airlines you may book 354 days out) for $1749 USD and it is now pricing out at $4385. Some of you may find the following of interest so I thought I'd share it: Also there are RTW products that a few of you may be interested in. I was doing one yearly prior to Covid, and actually finished up one last fall that I started in December of 2019 as they extended the 12 month deadline by a couple years due to the pandemic. I'm not going to going to go into too much detail but will provide some info and a couple examples of pricing, and if you're interested you can check out more in the The Oneworld Explorer User Guide from the flyertalk oneworld forum. Prices are based on originating country and vary based on currency fluctuation. Examples in USD and exclude taxes and fees which can add $1200-2500: Originating in Norway 3 continent business class $4965, 4 continent business class $5492; originating in Egypt 3 continent business class $4214, 4 continent business class $4570; originating in Japan 3 continent FIRST class $7501, 4 continent FIRST class $8841. The reason for originating these in other countries; here are prices for originating in the US for 3 and 4 continent business and 3 and 4 continent first class respectively excluding taxes: $10426, $11071, $14296, and $15479 Within each continent you can fly back-and-forth, but you must circumnavigate the world in one direction. 3 continent tickets only include the northern hemisphere continents of NA, EU (includes Middle East and northern Africa), and Asia. If you want to include a southern hemisphere continent, then you are required to do a 4 continent ticket as all northern hemisphere continents are accessed (in theory per the rules) even if they are not actually accessed. A lot more rules so see the link above or for the actual rules go to https://www.oneworld.com/world-travel and scroll to the bottom of the page and click the down arrow next to the question: How Much Does A Round The World Ticket Cost. There is a link there to download the oneworld Explorer fare rules. FWIW, in the past I've done the first class RTW tickets. First class is really nice on the TPAC, TATL and Asia/Australia to Europe flights and Cathay Pacific is the nicest of the oneworld first class IMO with JL and QR coming in a close second, and MH and QF coming in third. QR has limited routes though. I hesitate doing first class now until researching the increase of first class availability on Cathay Pacific as they just resumed operations in the past few months. Also in that respect, researching transiting Hong Kong, too. I'm resuming my RTW tickets spring of 2024 but will probably do business class ex-OSL or ex-CAI depending on what originating city has the best price when I book. I use oneworld Explorer tickets that originate in another country for two trips as the first half will bring me home, then I use a few of the 16 flights segments to fly within the US, and then resume my travel for the latter half to go elsewhere and finally return to my originating country. While these are used primarily for land-based travel I often insert a 14-25 day cruise into the itinerary. You have 12 months from the date of the first flight to complete the RTW ticket. Note: Star Alliance also has a RTW product but it is mileage based instead of continent based; I find the oneworld RTW product more to my liking. SkyTeam RTW product has been suspended since the onset of the pandemic.
  17. Best fries in your area are duck fat fries at Randy's Prime in Tysons Corner. FWIW, also one of the Great Americna Restaurants.
  18. I like deck 12 OCs for their convenience as you can just walk out to a plethora of venues: TC, Waves, Waves bar, pool, ice cream, new pizza place; and stairs are just outside the hallway door and up one deck to the spa, fitness center, and spa terrace, and just past the pool and up the stairs to barristas, library, Polo Grill, and Toscana. Because of that I've never had a desire booked the deck 11 OCs.
  19. And to that end, here's a link that is quite useful when checking requirements for travel destinations: https://www.iatatravelcentre.com/world.php
  20. Thanks for the pics. So other than new carpet and reupholstered furniture, not much else has changed. Same living room and desk lamps, same style chairs throughout (assumed they were reupholstered), veranda chairs appear as though they may have been replaced with new ones of similar style. I do like the lighter fabric on the living room chairs over the previous black and gold which were quite worn and dirty. I also like the new carpet over the previous monotone version. Master bathroom looks unchanged, although I'm sure they did retile, grout and caulk as needed and possibly changed some shower enclosure's aluminum trim.
  21. While I have a Marina cruise scheduled for next June, I'm probably going to cancel in a couple weeks due to scheduling conflicts. Fortunately the others are on Riviera and Vista.
  22. Marina refit was always scheduled for November 2023 as referenced at this Oceania link and also discussed extensively back in April 2022 in this thread: Major Refits upcoming for Riviera (2022) and Marina (2023) Some may be thinking the Marina refit would happen in fall 2022 due to this erroneous Cruise Critic article that was linked in post 131 of the Major Refits upcoming for Riviera (2022) and Marina (2023) thread.
  23. You may well not know anything for a couple months. With the first cruise scheduled for May 20, the earliest they would need to have reservations for new restaurants online would be February 19. I would guess that they need to assess the final number of tables, hours, staffing, and possibly numerous other factors before determining the configuration for online reservations. It's easy for existing restaurants because they have models from O class ships, and while undoubtedly they will use existing restaurant models, those will need to be tweaked for the new restaurants, then tested, and ultimately make sure everything is copacetic before moving online reservations for those new restaurants into production. Even then there will probably be some bugs.
