  1. Correct. I was just stating that to the poster who stated her daughter was in SS and not contacted yet by shoreside concierge. Although I did just get an email asking me my preferences for our upcoming cruise in a SS.

  4. Don’t know what qualifies one as an experienced cruiser. I guess we aren’t because last 6 cruises on S Class ships we have been in SS on Deck 12. You keep thinking that so our beloved Deck 12 SS will not be booked and waiting for us! Happy Cruising!😄
  5. My husband wears Hawaiian/Tommy Bahama shirts every night except chic night. Chic night he wears a solid white or blue shirt with a tie. No suit coat. That’s his preference
  6. Up to $15 are included. Over that you pay the difference. The little bottles in mini fridge are not included and you will be charged if you consume them. The butler is not supposed to bring you beer and wine but that depends on your butler. Ask and you may receive.
  7. RS you will get 2 bottles of your choice of liquor in the room or wine. They will also stock the mini fridge with 3 other items such as water, soft drinks, beer and mixers. They will contact you ahead of time to get your preferences. Amaretto is not on the list, but I requested it and received it. You also receive Unlimited Speciality Dining and Free Gelato.
  8. That’s not my experience. I redeem the OBC from credit card. I call Celebrity number given above and they either ask for your CRedit card number or the transaction number. It is in my Celebrity account within 10 minutes and added to my OBC which I can use before I board.

  10. I have never been on E Class Ship. We always go on Equinox in Retreat. So I can’t answer your dining questions. We use the butler to bring us breakfast. He does empty mini fridge and most butlers will stock it with soda, water and beer depending on your drink package. I always ask for a pitcher of iced tea in afternoon and ice twice a day. They also will bring afternoon snacks and coffee. I make all my own reservations before I board so I am assured of getting times I want. The butler will unpack for you if you want him to, shine your shoes, have clothing pressed, etc. We had one that insisted on shining my husbands shoes every day! They will also make any reservations you want. We certainly don’t use them to their full potential but I am capable to do most things myself. As of onboard credit you can use it for mostly anything except a deposit on a future cruise. I always get a new purse, manicure/pedicure and last cruise we had so much OBC we got couples massage, a watch for my husband and photos. Dinner at specialty restaurants, gelato, etc. You can also get a form at Guest Relations and have some designated as tips. Use in casino. Any refundable OBC you have left goes back to your credit card. They use nonrefundable OBC first. Hope this helps! Enjoy your cruise!
  11. While I have only been on Equinox I also must follow a gluten free diet. I thought the gf pizza was terrible but I really enjoyed the gf pasta, sauce and meat ball. In April the gf desserts were terrible especially the cakes. I am a gf baker of all desserts including my specialty of macarons and I wish I could teach them! I always bring my own gf crackers and bagels.
  12. I just looked at my October 2022 cruise and September 2023 cruise and AI is cancelled. I have it listed on invoice so I’m not going to worry about it…yet…

  14. We have been in SS 5 times and this is the first email about preferences we have ever received.
  15. We are in a SS on Equinox in October. Just received an email from Shoreside Concierge asking several questions about our preferences including welcoming beverage, bed configuration, extra blankets and hangers and what we like to do in port.
  16. We always Book Deck 12 aft and never feel any movement.
  17. I would do a mock booking for the category you want to bid on and see how the cost differs from the move up bid cost. You may get a stateroom in a location you don’t like and after your move up bid is approved you cannot change it. Read the fine print. Also, winning a move up bid means you retain your original perks but get the amenities that come with new room. Captains Club points are based on your original stateroom. On our cruise in March it was cheaper for us to upgrade to the higher category instead of doing a move up bid. Therefore we received all perks and amenities of new stateroom. The only difference between a sky suite and Celebrity suite is there is an actual bedroom and it might be a bit bigger. Personally I do not like them as the bedroom has no window or view to the water. I like to hear the water and see the sun rise in the room. That’s my personal opinion.
  18. We have been on Equinox 5 times with 3 more cruises booked! We did the ABC route twice, last time in March. We are doing it again in October(booked since 2019). After this trip we will be done with ABC islands for awhile! We have been in aft SS and Royal Suite. Both are great!
  19. Yes, I redeem through the card. It usually does not automatically go over to cruise OBC so you have to call Celebrity at 800-760-0654 Option 3 to have it applied.
  20. I did the exact same thing in April! When I got on board my seapass card stated no beverage package. I went to Guest Relations and they gave me a new card. I did have my invoice with me that showed I had beverage package as I booked an AI but they did not ask to see it.
  21. Not sure what is around the terminal area to kill some time. Suites can board anytime after the boarding process starts.
  22. I’ll have to check this out in October. We have eaten in Luminae on last 5 cruises and never once was I offered the Blu menu or that it was even a choice.
