Yup, Had Princess not given multiple options and tried to do the right thing by giving additional FCC it would be done.
Perfect, just Perfect - Can you imagine if Princess had simply stated, that's what travel insurance is for - deal with it …

We are thinking of combining another cruise with our short 4-day cruise leaving out of Port Canaveral. But the second cruise would be on a different ship, different cruise line...but both out of Port Canaveral.
I am sure it has been done before so any suggestions, comments or tips to make this a smooth transition? Haven't cruised out of Port Canaveral in a couple of years so I can't remember how it is set up, how far apart the cruise line terminals are etc.... I assume we could catch a taxi to take us to the second ship.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
for your consideration … IF you are driving down from Georgia - per your profile - park at the port park 'n ride - then take their shuttle back to your car between cruises - maybe to even 'reload' on items you can take aboard the particular cruise line - such as wine on Princess ( I realize neither cruise is on Princes )
you 'should' have plenty of time between getting off the first ship to do that … maybe even leave the port area ... then back to the park n ride for the shuttle to the next ship
edit - sorry, the above was posted about Port Everglades, so not sure that would work at Port Canaveral - but the premise might be the same ...

follow the money … Princess is hoping you 'won't notice' that and go ahead and pay for the earlier cruise … it's been reported here to just call your TA or Princess to adjust to your choice

Mini bottles of Prosecco are included in the package. One of DW's favorites.
it's been reported that those are no longer available on some ships, but yes, it was always easy before to grab a couple of those for later use also

things should start flowing faster now … there was a report on local tv this morning that an "investigative reporter" is looking
into the problem of refunds on Carnival , Princess, and HAL !! stay tuned for updates ...
seriously, nothing new learned … in process … future cruise credits … contact credit card company

Pause 2 decision date was also May 31 as listed on Princess website. Pause 3 listed as June 15.
does your TA have any inside info about the next wave of cancellations, specifically the November Caribbean sailings ?
I believe all remaining Sept and October sailings will be cancelled, just a matter of cash-flow when ...

for the 2 posters above with scheduled cruises … if you want a refund (90+ days) - file now
if you want to let it ride, well just sit back for the inevitable and see what kind of deal Princess offers.. maybe you can 'game
the system' and put up more money hoping for the double amount paid for a future cruise ..🤑

Crown Princess just arrived in Manila Bay, joining 8 other Princess ships waiting out their time in quarantine.
are all Princess ships still under quarantine waiting to disembark crew ? or are some, just 'hanging out' ?

hopefully, you have a booked cruise that you can readily apply them to … then hope ...

You can bring soda cans from your room to Princess Cays and just get a cup of ice at the bar.
you 'can' but why ? - you have to pay for those cans on Princess Cay, just like on the ship

Never could understand why people would accept move overs for a future cruise.
3 hours ago, Grego said:What bothers me are the trolls out there that just try to game the system for a couple of bucks.
Our moveover - we're very fortunate and flexible - others, not so much
moved from 5 day western on Crown to 7 day eastern on Regal . got MO offer on a Monday before to leave on Sunday, then actually left the next Sunday for the 7 day … NO additional OOP costs for moving the 5 to 7, and had almost $ 1,000 refundable OBC - yeah , that sucked, huh ?
" game the system " ? - well, I do think of it as a game I play with the house rules , not mine

They are all talking about re-opening. They are mentioning passengers by air, and land tourism, but I could not find any mention about plans to open to cruise ships.
Do you see any mention of cruise ships in the article?
baby steps !! … things are looking up !🥃

stop giving Captain's Circle credit for cruises of less than 7 days.
that would be outrageous !!!
what about all the west coasters that take the 1-2 day repo cruises sailing solo in a suite ??? that's 3 credits 🤑
we'd lose 8 cruise credits !!!

how about a stand alone CFAR policy - no medical, no evacuation... it would strictly be a policy that provides FCC only since
"insurance" is not involved ?

shame you can't have it both ways ...

One positive is we now have 2 cruises almost paid for, $200 balance owing so we can take advantage of any fare changes.
is that a NZ thing ? that if you are paid in full, you can't re-fare or is that your TA thing ?

Once I’ve loaded all of the required information on the “Ocean Ready App” & have my Medallion do I still have to go to the check-in desk at the pier or can I go onboard once they start boarding?
Anyone had any problems using the Medallion & if so what did you do?
Thanks!
Tom😀
you will be directed as to which line to get into if you have the OM in hand
at least that's the way it is in the cruise capital of the world that we use ...🤑🦄🥃… for our wonderful, exotic, long weekend cruises to the beautiful Caribbean islands !! ⛱️🐬🎲🍷🍻

she lucked out big time and fell under Double the Deposit in FCC.
that's the game I may play with a cruise for late November …
Spin the wheel … when does Princess cancel ??? before final, so double amount paid comes into play, and if so , how far in advance of final ??
or, after final, and the 25% FCC 'bonus' ??

I'll take a stab at it and be corrected if I'm wrong. 300 in fees/taxes are refunded. 100 in FCC will rollover as an FCC. 900 cash paid by you will be increased by 25% and issued as a new FCC.
if that's the case … then I'll just pay up to the amount of the cruise fare before final deposit - which will now be 60 days ...
1) Princess cancels before final - I'll get double amount paid on cruise fare as FCC
2) Princess cancels after final - then I have to decide if 25% bonus FCC ( $ 225 ) is better than a full refund ...

how much time do you estimate you will have if you are the last group off the first cruise, and the first group to board on the second cruise ??
