If/when they cancel farther out sailings ... it's just more people in the refund queue that Princess cannot satisfy
true dat … but, at least the process could be started earlier although refunds and fcc will obliviously be delayed … again

I read the article, and I did not see where the CDC or the home ports said that they agree with them starting to sail again. There was no "yes" you can sail from our home ports. Am I missing something?
yes … the behind the scenes negotiations taking place ...

at least Carnival has now officially cancelled more cruises that most already knew would be cancelled
Princess should follow that lead ...
-
per Princess website - there are NO currently scheduled Caribbean cruises scheduled for August or September - hurricane season and all ...
wait and see if that changes

Princess will add West Coast trips also - just like I have previously stated how the rollout would begin - and was boo-hoo by many - and you know who you are ...
I think it's a great start if it happens

It's becoming annoying to read all the posts regarding guesses as to what is going to happen without any facts to back it up. So maybe I should not continue to read them and just concentrate on our upcoming November voyage on the Enchanted Princess.
agreed - maybe time to take a break if you "need FACTS" at this point 😉

Good Luck … and welcome to Cruise Critic
have you passed final payment date yet ?

No surprise that Travel Agents have been instructed to discourage credit card disputes. Believe me while the cruise lines have been slow to issue refunds; they are fast to claw back on commissions. In some cases the Travel Agency may be on the hook for a penalty too in the event of a credit card dispute. It is a mess and getting bigger as June cruises are cancelled.
and as posted here on CC - 'some' TA's apparently have the clients pay them directly, then the TA pays the cruise line ...
then when the passenger cancels and notifies the Credit Card company … that chargeback goes against the TA, since they are the one that 'made the payment' in dispute to
and just wait for the July and August cruises to officially be cancelled by Princess 🤑
fact checkers ? it's all yours now
stay safe
Peace out

Sorry, not a hope. Our Prime Minister commented the other day that he expects international travel will not be allowed until the end of the year.
We had a Baltics cruise on Sky Princess starting the same day so I share your pain.
I just looked on the Princess website … damned if you do, damned if you don't - that's the position Princess is in
there are currently 63 cruises available, per the website, to be booked for July and August … and yes, many of those are in the Australian market … and we all know those aren't happening ...
so should Princess
1) bite the proverbial bullet and cancel those bookings out until a more reasonable, but still optimistic 9/1 commencement
2) continue to head in sand approach, hoard money and bookings, and make the passengers cancel
now 9/1 is about 120 days … is that even realistic, as Princess continues to take crew home on their ships ?

So will the airlines be handing out masks to passengers? In the United States all the major airlines are requiring passengers to wear masks. So will you get a mask when you get to the gate?
got this in an Allegiant email
- All customers are provided with a complimentary health and safety kit upon boarding. The kit includes a single-use face mask, disposable gloves (non-latex) and two sanitizing wipes.
- The air quality on our planes exceeds HEPA standards thanks to our VOC (volatile organic compound) filters, which remove additional organic compounds. On average, cabin air is changed every three minutes through a continuous flow of fresh and VOC-filtered air.
- Our low-touch service approach limits unnecessary personal contact and shared items.
- All inflight service items—all food and all beverages—are pre-packaged and factory-sealed when served.
- Crew members wear gloves during inflight service, and service frequency has been reduced to once per flight. Customers can use the Call button to make additional service requests.
- Inflight magazines and inserts have been removed from all seatbacks.
- As part of the online/mobile check-in process, customers must complete a health acknowledgement certifying that:

You will receive a letter in your cabin. Read and follow the directions exactly.
this … as the ship has to be 'cleared' of all passengers, before boarding of the new passengers can commence .
on our last cruise, we had to wait about an extra hour so some idiot doing a B2B could be located … and this was on a OM ship

All their games will be in Arizona at the spring training field.
that was just a proposal - and no way the players would agree to that being away from home and basically in cornteen
more likely a realign of teams by region … east, central, west … to reduce travel
-
Sky is relocating crew - nothing more, nothing less ...
you're dreaming if you think any cruises will start before 9/1 - and I'm an always glass half-full dude !🥃🤑🚢🌈🦄

did I miss something ?
Because of the coronavirus pandemic, the CDC instituted a "no-sail order" on cruise lines that initially took effect March 14, and now is extended through July 19, banning passenger cruises.

February 1, 2020
Princess Cruises confirms that a guest from Hong Kong who traveled for five days on Diamond Princess from Yokohama (Tokyo) on January 20, and disembarked in Hong Kong on January 25, tested positive for coronavirus on February 1, six days after leaving the ship. He was not seen in the ship medical center for any reported illnesses during the voyage. The guest is currently admitted to a local hospital and reported to be in a stable condition.
The safety, security and well-being of all guests and crew are our absolute priority. Our chief medical officer is working with the relevant health authorities to determine if any further action is required. We will provide a further update once we have more information.
Diamond Princess is on a 14-day round trip itinerary, which departed from Yokohama (Tokyo) on January 20 and is scheduled to return on February 4. There are 2,666 guests and 1,045 crew onboard.
It's been a long 90 days … but trying to think about when did it really hit home for us ? somewhere around the middle of that - March 13th - when my wife lost her part-time (couple of days a week, 10-12 hours total) "nanny" job since that person lost their job/business and they didn't need her then … still temporary, we hope, and coming back soon ?

End of November … little 5 day … certainly hope it goes, but I believe it may be an itinerary change from Cozumel to Princess Cay if it happens at all … maybe Amber Cove ?
