We have always booked directly with Princess after our 1st cruise when we booked thru AAA.
On only one occasion - a 10 day Panama Canal partial transit was it worthwhile to transfer the booking to a TA.
Now maybe if we went consistently on longer cruises and used the same TA things might be different. I am a bulldog when it comes to checking prices / promotions etc. I enjoy it as it seems like a game between me and them - either a TA or direct
-
the last 'service dog' we saw on a cruise was a Shiz Tzu that could either detect low blood sugar and/or seizures, rolled around in a baby stroller...

I think people jump to the conclusion that you will be flying it around the ship and so on because of your attitude that your right to fly your drone trumps everyone else's right to peace, tranquility and privacy.
A drone would work perfect in the MDR to analyze the butter situation and request a preferred table:cool:

we are now booked on the 5 day Crown leaving on 11/13 at the same price as our non-medallion 2 day cruise leaving the same day
-
the ***** rollout - or selective ***** rollout has got to be a major concern
-
We booked directly with Princess, and that is one reason we did - Not a lot of 'perks' from a TA on these shorter cruises, at least not for us it seems. Again, it may all depend on the rep you get when you call.
-
I was having 2nd thoughts yesterday about cancelling the inaugural cruise...but I'm happy I did!!!
Us too - but we booked the Crown on 11/13 for 5 days instead of the B2B at a huge savings. Maybe we'll book the Regal for a future cruise - who knows..
-
one - a 7 day on the Diamond Princess in 2007 - our first 'big' cruise and our first Princess cruise.
If we can work it out, we will go back and do the "conisaur" version of the land/cuise - 12-13 day total as I remember
-
The 11/13 Regal sailing is the first one using the Medallion and I was told while on with Ocean Concierge last night in regards to my sailing I was told that those medallions were mailed out yesterday via 2 day Fed Ex. People would be reporting on them by the end of this week then!!
They are cutting it very close so I'm sure many will be getting their medallions at port. Since you can't set up your account and be ocean ready until you have that in hand, guess the first few months will be a bit different.
Did you ask - or did they mention - the number of cabins that are getting the ***** experience, while all the others are not?

Couldn't find the previous thread - sorry
Cross post from our Roll Call
Quick FYI - You may want to check the Princess website for this cruise and the current pricing. We just re-fared / re-booked in the same cabin at the current pricing - yes 5 days before our cruise. Now remember, as this is a new promotion from what we had previously booked under, we did lose our prepaid grats, but the savings more than made up for that. Well worth a quick look and phone call . Your situation may vary GOOD LUCK
Now we didn't save a lot of money because it was already booked at a great (for us) rate - but it was still enough to enjoy a specialty dinner if we choose with a couple of nice drinks for my wife - I have the drink package, well duh!

We are going on the Crown in 5 days for a 5 day cruise. Our last cruise with Princess was the Royal 5 day cruise last year. while we will miss the 'newness' and alfredo's, we really like the aft pool area and outriggers bar to relax during the day. Get some, give some

so, you will openly explain to Princess that you have a drone, and request them for safe keeping until you arrive in ports that don't ban drones? - well, aren't you special, huh?
-
We've 'almost' quit going to the casino because of all the smokers, even on the non-smoking night it still reeks
-
Boarding, and being able to book a select # of __________ are definitely different in my opinion.
and we are platinum and doubt will ever make it to elite unless Princess changes a whole lot of things for the better...
-
the Princess demographic is totally different from the Carnival demographic.
what specifically did you like about Barnival?
-
Is there any difference if you are 'buying 3/6 beers at a time'
versus
buying the PBP , and only being able to get one beer at time?
You've most certainly paid for them either way
and I've never had a problem getting a capped beer before when it was the AIBP - but now I guess the rules have changed? And we all know about Princess "rules"
-
It is my limited understanding that you can turn off all the features EXCEPT - the 'security' feature that allows Princess to track your every movement, but 'maybe' not your other cruise habits
yeah right - turn it off???
-
Can you see what will be offered each night at the beginning of the cruise, so you can make plans for any alternative dining venues?
-
Agreed, it should be offered to Elites in suites, first
then suites
then elites
then platinum, etc
-
will that really be a deal breaker if it doesn't???
-
I have gotten them quite a bit lately. Since the ships aren't sold out, I'm sure more will be coming. Not used to seeing cruises sailing next week that still have plenty of space.
book and be willing to accept a non-medallion room on a ***** preview cruise.
-
I've been on that mailing list for 5 years and never gotten an email about any sales.
Well, I'm special and I get them all the time- maybe since we actually booked one a few years ago:cool:

It's not false advertising if something isn't ready that is not material to the product provided and that at the time the advert was made it was reasonably expected to be ready (i.e it doesn't affect ability to use the facilities overall) - and even then the cruise contract covers a lot of sins.
OK, bait - ***** cruise for everybody on the cruise !!!!!
Switch - but, not really, only a select few cabins !!!!
Club class mini's - you pick if you wanted the extra frills and pay extra
That didn't happen with the *****

this is true - a couple of $$ tips directly to the bartenders goes a long way...
