  1. My Tommy Bahama shirts all require dry cleaning (aside from T-shirts/polos). Does Princess offer that onboard?
  2. All of the cabin videos and diagrams still show the barrel chairs in each cabin.
  3. I searched in earnest through 50+ pages of your posts for your live thread with no luck. Could you possibly post a link to it? TIA
  4. In my case the cruise is in September. That is why I posted about it.
  5. I print a hard copy of my airline tickets, hotel reservations, tour bookings, car rentals, etc. I also write notes about places to visit, maps, and more, and have a file for each future cruise, which I store in gallon-size Ziploc bags. Each topic has a stick-on file tab, in order of use. No, they won't zip shut but they are a perfect size for printer paper. They lay flat and I can see the itinerary through the bag. They also fit in the front compartment of my carryon bag. 👌 This helps compensate for my fading short-term memory. 🤪 Note: I also carry photocopies of my passport/credit cards/Dr. license, etc.
  6. I had forgotten about Spanada, a crummy excuse for sangria. It ranked right down there with Boone's Farm Strawberry Hill, and Annie Green Springs wine. Always followed by a barf chaser, LOL! O.K. Boomer, anyone here remember Sloe Gin, Jungle Juice, or trashcan punch? Only the strong survived! 🤣 Now we are Princess cruisers! Welcome back Cine Graphic!
  7. Hopefully the lesson you learned was not to blame EZ Air for actions taken by airlines. Each time I use EZ Air domestically, the price is slightly higher than a nonrefundable ticket booked directly with an airline, but cheaper than a refundable ticket. EZ air allows no-penalty cancellations until 45 days from your flight. For international flights there is typically no comparison. EZ Air will be the cheapest. If prices go down, you can cancel and rebook or switch airlines with no penalty.👌 The only times I don't use EZ Air is when I can pay with points.
  8. I'm taking two of my grandsons on the Majestic Princess to Alaska in September. I hope for their sake that there are other young adults aboard. At least enough for a basketball game on sea days and maybe some friendly gals. 😉 They are 18 and 24 years old.
  9. I would have known when I checked my account (daily).
  10. Oops! I meant to say Majestic. Emerald is my June cruise to from Florida to Canada. Majestic is my September Alaska cruise.
  11. This thread brought out my inner engineer and got me thinking about possible solutions. A cardboard box about the size of a hardbound book with one side cut out to slip over the lamp base would work. Or perhaps an oblong shoebox-shaped plastic container (Tupperware-type) with one side cut out. Tape it in place. Lots of possibilities! 🤞
  12. I agree with you, but often just use hand sanitizer when I sit down to eat. I also carry thin disposable gloves, but found they are not worth the hassle since I typically go back for something.
  13. Cardboard or even a Styrofoam scrap would be lightweight and strong enough to support a CPAP machine. It could be stacked to the right thickness and trimmed on the spot with a knife or hacksaw blade. Tape it to the nightstand with painter's blue tape. Attach the hose to the lamp with a loop of tape to ensure that it stays in place. 👌 For a square-based lamp like the one shown, a paperback book or two from the ship library, taped to the nightstand should do the trick. Most ships have round lamp bases.
  14. The Island was like a morgue after midnight. A few employees running vacuum cleaners, etc.
  15. At the counter where they dish soft-serve ice cream and make those disgusting premium sundaes, by the covered pool. They always offered a choice. I didn't have a package, but I did have $850 in OBC, and I would have paid but they didn't ask.
  16. 1. There may be a "name-change" fee. Check first before giving your uncooperative TA any more money. 2. Find a new TA. Will the lost $150 pound pp fee go to Princess or does the TA get to keep it?
  17. Have you explored the electrical connection? You may need a (ship supplied) extension cord because there are no outlets by the bed(s) except on the new Sun. One 220 outlet under the bed for the lamp.
  18. On a CC cabin crawl, I saw where someone had placed a paperback book the thickness of the lamp base on either side of the lamp, held in place with painter's tape. The CPAP machine was sitting on top of the books with a loop of tape holding the hose to the lamp to prevent it from falling off of the nightstand. Us North Americans are a clever lot! 😉
  19. Another CC poster stated that their Discovery itinerary has been updated to say 2 hours only.
  20. Maui to Las Vegas (Hawaiian) nonstop, stay 4 days. LV. to Ca. via Phoenix (American), stay 5 days. Ca. to Florida via DFW. (American) Begin cruise to Quebec. Montreal to Maui via Denver. (Air Canada/United) After cruise. 7 flights total in June and July.
  21. Do you have a United credit card or high status with United? If I am asked to pay, I'm hoping to do so with miles. I'm just not sure about the codeshare flight on Air Canada.
  22. Surprisingly, upgrading from United Economy to Economy Plus doesn't include a free bag. I'm counting on my United Credit Card for that. In June, I will fly from Maui to Las Vegas; LV to California; California to Florida; Montreal to Denver; and Denver to Maui. I would hate to have to pay a bag fee on every flight. I think I will only have to pay it on the first flight (Hawaiian) because I don't have their credit card.
  23. I enjoy your writing as well. I have learned a lot and hope you will continue to do "live" reports. We will be on the Majestic in September for a quick (7-day) Alaska trip with friends and two grandsons. âš“ Next up: Fort Lauderdale to Quebec City.
  24. My experience has been that booking non-refundable fares directly with the airlines is either comparable or slightly cheaper than using EZ Air domestically. Booking refundable fares directly with the airlines cost more than EZ Air, whose tickets are refundable until (I believe) the last 45 days. You also receive the Princess guarantee of getting you to the ship when flights are late.
  25. I already have seat assignments on all of my flights, currently 45 days prior to departure. I went to United/Air Canada websites and purchased upgraded seats directly. I have always booked full-fare coach or above. Never basic economy, and EZ Air doesn't book basic economy.
