  1. Sounds like a weekend party cruise on a Carnival ship! 🤪
  2. Do you suppose they are making it with whatever they have left over from the buffet? It seems like they would have one winning recipe used ship wide unless they are using leftovers.
  3. There were only a handful of Main Plus seats left on the second flight (DFW-FLL), so I pulled the trigger and paid the upgrade with points. $80 pp in cash or equivalent points for both flights included better seats, free bags, and free drinks. On the way back, we will fly from Montreal to Denver. It looks like we will have to wait to select those seats. Air Canada metal, code-shared with United. Second flight will be Den to Maui. The upgrade to Economy Plus is over $200 per seat on that flight. 😢
  4. Economy seats were selected on EZ Air more than 2 months ago. Early ticketing was NOT chosen. Cruise begins on June 19th, 2024. Today I upgraded us to Main Plus to get extra legroom and a free bag at the AA website.
  5. We chose our seats on the Princess EZ Air website when we booked our American Airlines (domestic) flights. Does that mean we inadvertently chose Early Ticketing? There was no mention of it.
  6. Did you have checked bags? Perhaps you had to collect them to pass through Customs, then skipped the final leg?
  7. I was at Kaiser Permanente this morning and spotted a duck on the receptionist's desk. I asked about it and she replied that someone is hiding them all over the hospital and clinics.
  8. Premium Economy is substantially more expensive than Economy Plus. When we flew from LAX to LHR last year, Economy was $500+. Premium Economy was $2400+. We purchased PE from EZ Air while booking. Economy Plus was only bookable from the airline (United over/Virgin back) if you held an Economy Seat, as it is a seat upgrade rather than a cabin change. Since our flights for the upcoming cruise are relatively short, we hope to go with just Economy Plus ($78 extra on the 2 flights from Ca. to Ft. Lauderdale), and a yet unknown amount from Montreal to Denver. EZ Air said to contact the airline directly for those upgrades.
  9. I live in Hawaii and every time I book flights to the mainland, Southwest is the most expensive. For example, when I fly over for my cruise in June we will visit Las Vegas first. The non-stop R/T fare on Hawaiian with changes permitted is $466. It includes seat choice and a simple meal. On Southwest it is over $1,000 and allows two free bags. Not a tough choice for me.
  10. It's my understanding that if we upgrade our seats or prepay baggage fees then change flights, we lose the upgrade money. It is non-refundable. Best to wait until we are reasonably sure of our flights and hope that there are upgrade seats still available.
  11. We will upgrade to Economy Plus if there are seats available. The second flight, Denver to Maui is almost $200 pp. for the upgrade. The bag fee is $40 and although I have a United Credit Card, it probably won't allow us free bags since we didn't purchase the flights directly from United. I'm hoping they will allow us in the United lounge in Denver since I normally qualify. With the codeshare flight, neither Air Canada nor United representatives seem to know the details. 🤪
  12. We have EZ Air flights on United from Montreal to Maui in July. The first flight is a code share, with a United flight number from Montreal to Denver on Air Canada. On the Princess site it says to call Air Canada directly to book seats. I tried but was informed that the ticket hasn't been purchased yet, so not possible until then. On the Air Canada website, it shows every seat on the plane to be an upcharge of at least $25. Does EZ Air book seats that don't include a paid seat assignment (Basic Economy)? When our tickets are purchased by Princess will we still have to pay extra for a seat assignment? How about luggage? Will I have to pay Air Canada for the first flight and United for the second? TIA!
  13. It's $427 Canadian or $316 American for a similar room. The extra U.S $111 will buy us dinner and drinks.😁 I noticed that all of the Marriott properties near the airport include a free shuttle. https://www.marriott.com/search/findHotels
  14. We are staying at the Sheraton Montreal Airport Hotel. I believe they have a shuttle but sometimes things change without notice. My room with senior discount is $277.15 Canadian or $205.30 American. Note: They advertise 24-hour free shuttle in their description.
  15. There was a similar thread on RCCL a few years back. Someone posted a photo of their soft serve mix, showing the ingredients. QUOTE: Main ingredients: water, corn syrup, oil. Explains why I never liked it and haven't bothered trying again for years.
  16. Yes, you can. It will just be added to your total due in September. (If you are buying it from Princess.)
  17. How many pods do you use for each load? Thanks!
  18. I have taken my security photo 5 times. Each time I am sideways in the final picture. On my last cruise I was sideways for the entire cruise. I have tried turning the camera from vertical to horizontal. It makes no difference. The picture always comes out sideways. Any suggestions?
  19. I did it a couple of weeks ago. I emailed hello@stockperks.com my name, booking #, etc. along with an attachment from my brokerage showing that I own 100 shares of CCL. They replied, stating that Princess "strongly recommends" using the app. I replied forcefully that I wasn't going to do that. They relented, and granted my $250 in OBC. They also said that a website is in the works. There are at least 3 other threads on this topic which have lots of advice.
  20. One token in place of perhaps 8 quarters. Much easier! Use your quarters for tips. 🤣
  21. I wish we were able to sail on to Montreal but appreciate the extra night on the ship at Quebec. (HAL cruises to Montreal. Apparently, Princess ships are too tall to clear a bridge along the way.) We will take the Princess excursion bus from Quebec City that stops in Old Montreal and then delivers us to the Airport. We will spend the night and fly out early the next morning.
  22. We book balconies or Mini suites except when there aren't any available and have never sailed in an inside cabin. I've never smelled cigarette smoke from neighboring cabins on Carnival RCCL, NCL, or Princess. Occasionally, a brief whiff of weed.
  23. Perhaps you could affix a photo of them on the wall just inside the cabin door? 🐕🐱🐎
  24. I think it's great that you choose to spend your time there. Awesome that we all have choices.
  25. I likened it to a theater containing a replica of Abraham Lincoln delivering the Gettysburg Address. Try to keep the facts straight.
