Financially, by the cruiselines? or Gluttonously, by the passengers? -

Hasn't that been true for about the last four years? This thread isn't 200 pages long from people posting accolades. ...and this is the third thread like this.

Don't most of the other packages have a limit to the number of drinks per day? To enforce that limit, their system has to be able to count drinks 'used'. Just as it would with a coffee card. On the other hand, it your saying, it was too complicated for the ocean innovators make work, I completely get that.

Princess drops the coffee card to induce customers to purchase the more expensive packages.

Military and shareholders OBC no longer combinable soon.
Roberto256 replied to HaveDogWillTravel's topic in Princess Cruises
A long time ago ... like more that 15 years ... The shareholder OBC wasn't combinable with anything. -
That's how the pilot comes and goes. Sometimes, it's even the pilot boat that picks up the pilot from the ship, and drops off the late passengers. "Ladder 1 meter off the water, sir".

Additional Chair in Emerald Princess balcony cabin?

That could just be numbered '5'. -
In 2016, fake news was over-used to mean anything I disagree with. Now, I call things I disagree with wok. I don't know what it mean, but it doesn't matter, as no one else does either. Maybe next year, wok fake news. This post in the AARP forums says that the gift cards are available to all. https://community.aarp.org/t5/Redemption/Three-Exciting-New-AARP-Rewards-Cruise-Line-Gift-Cards/m-p/2448318 As another poster mentioned, you do have to join AARP rewards. But, I don't think you have to be an actual AARP member.

If you are buying them to use for your own cruise, they are not really 'gift' cards. Where does it end?!?!?

The first restuarant I recall with an upcharge was The Painted Desert on Grand Princess... ...when it entered service in 1997. I think the charge was $6. The most delightful part ... one of the two exits from the showlounge went right through the dining area.

To me, you would look like a junior waiter, and I would want to give you my drink order in the dining room.

Where I grew up, there were a lot of hills, and my dad always had cars with manual transmissions... From time to time, I would get into a situation, with one foot on the accelerator, one foot on the clutch... And lacking a third foot, no way to dim the headlights when needed... Strangely, when I was a kid, people would say things like "you've grown another foot since I saw you last..." It never helped.

What's wierd: I know 3 people who were called back to princess, were dissatisfied with the new pay, and moved on... And yet, I know another person who is still waiting to be called back to princess. I'm guessing it's a covid vaccine thing, but I don't really know.

Is the Medallion Plus experience on Princess worth the money?
Roberto256 replied to beshears's topic in Princess Cruises
It might be a good idea for you to actually proof read what you write. Your last sentence makes no sense as it is. As it is written, it has no point. It would make a lot more sense if you wrote: Mainstream cruise lines do NOT make their money on the basic cruise fare, it is made on the upselling of products and services like these packages. If you are going to mock others' opinions, you might want to be more exact with yours. -
That has been my observation as well. When the ships entered service after covid ... crew working with the reduction of salary, and the reduced capacity were not making enough to bother with. People even quit in the middle of their contracts. Several went to Virgin...
