In the highly unlikely situation of a catastrophic emergency that whole women and children first is a dated concept.

Can we address the more important issue of how NCL only carries French's Yellow Mustard (which is God awe full) and not Gulden's Spicy Brown (a proper deli mustard)?

I've been on 6 different NCL ships, the Gem is my favorite and will always hold a special place in my heart.

where can you find your latitudes promo code that you are booked under? I dont see mine anywhere.

This is a great question and I will have to look into this can I find such info on my ncl.com? I'd love 3x points on a 12 day cruise.
-
Yes when I booked and paid for it in June it was 1 point per night, sometime after they made it 2 points per night for cabins less then a suite, called and was told I made final payment already and 2x points were for new bookings and 3x points were for suites and above, I called back and a different agent got me 2x points

Jan 20th 2023 Getaway NYC

Many of us including myself have had not the best experience with NCL customer service. I am more than pleased with my last interactions with them, first on my upcoming 12 day cruise in Jan. I was going to be awarded 12 latitude points, some time after final payment they doubled the points for my cruise, I called and was told I already made final payment and double points was for new bookings. I know from past experience that different customer service agents will give you different results, so I call again and after 20 min I'm getting 24 points making me Platinum on my very next cruise ( after Jan.) instead of 2 more 7 day cruises and finally Platinum on a 3rd. Then days later I inquired about a price drop and will be credited $450.20 toward my next booking after deposit (a $700 credit for $250) I am thrilled. I already looking to book next Nov. Just wanted to share good news, and not a thread that complains. Cheers.

Military discount after final payment
Davechipp74 replied to spookey's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
I tried, I was on phone for almost 30 min. to get mine and was told it could not be applied because I already completed full payment, mind you when I tried it was before final payment was due. -
I'm on the Getaway for 12 days Jan 20th I just brought the Vibe pass for $289. In the past I've brought the Posh pass for the Epic (same thing different name) I've found it to be money well spent. You do have to consider that the first day and half and probably the last day and a half will most likely be less then favorable weather, it's not a problem for me though as I've been born and raised in New England, and look forward to a smaller crowd and zero kids at Vibe.

Hypothetical alcohol question on NCL Jewel
Davechipp74 replied to Smitty7711's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
Yes and just so you know pretty much every cruise line has a "Friends of Bill W" gathering as well. 😆 J/K I'd be in Sheehan's ordering a proper drink myself at 4:15 A.M. Cheers -
MCMC100 Thank you, great info. I don't mind the weather at all I've lived in New England most my life and have worked every day ever outside. I'm more interested in the less crowded/zero kids aspect I'm on the Jan 20th 2023 sailing as well, we have a great roll call going on for this cruise, you should check it out.

I just paid $289. for a Vibe pass on my upcoming 12 day cruise on the Getaway in Jan., I'm looking forward a less crowded area with no kids. Anyone know about how many passes they sell they say there are only a certain number of passes available from what I understand

So I have a 9-9:30 am check-in. Is that good?
Davechipp74 replied to Sigyn's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
There are so many factors involved that affect your time you get aboard, so much so that past performance is never ever indicative of future results it is literately hit or miss 100% -
Would there be enough time for a day trip into Haiti?
Davechipp74 replied to Davechipp74's topic in Dominican Republic
I'm not looking for trouble or any type of monetary gain legal or otherwise, but simply a more adventurous excursion than a typical cruise itinerary I've been on a few times. I have a tremendous amount of experience as well as resources plenty of websites I would have used to arrange a fixer to travel throughout such places, in fact after 4+ years in the USMC with a few very dangerous deployments, I later joined a private military firm for even longer with more deployments to significantly more dangerous places. The biggest regrets I have is after some research I've learned that I simply will not be in port long enough for said trip, and friends I have that would be willing to take such an excursion with me are few and scattered across the world. Cheers. -
What nonsense is this? Missed Port
Davechipp74 replied to AnitaVacation's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
If do to a weather, political, or "unforeseen" event I thought it was understood the cruise line (Captain) can change plans at any moment for safety of passengers and crew (as stated in contract.) It's happened to me, I don't believe I've ever expected a port fee back. Was that an option? -
3 Things I'll Miss About NCL, and 3 Things I Won't
Davechipp74 replied to AndyCapn's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
I kinda broke it down a little bit, even if I paid for the drink package as opposed to getting it "free at sea" they lose money on me. -

Can you order a bottle of alcohol for your room?
Davechipp74 replied to TrinaLC's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
I thought I read somewhere the if you bring wine aboard and have a drink package you will not be charged a corkage fee, anyone know about this? I'm not trying to hijack thread, sorry. -
A nice morning Bloody Mary on a cruise is the way to go.

How social are people on NCL cruises?
Davechipp74 replied to New2cruise2022's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
I'm so alone I;ll talk to anyone. -
First some context, On an upcoming solo cruise I dock at Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. Haiti being right there is very intriguing, having over 10+ years in the military (4 in USMC, 5+ in private military's {think Blackwater}) I feel it would be comfortable. I have traveled solo to level 4 advisory countries before (Algeria, Yemen) Haiti is about level 3 right now, I booked this cruise because leaves the day after my birthday, and I love cruising the Caribbean, however I've never been in such close proximity to Haiti. I feel it would be an awesome excursion, this is my first resource into this question because I've been all over these boards the last few days. Respectfully I'm bringing this question across several different types of boards.
