  1. Oh, did some of them say they DID get emails ahead of time?
  2. Sounds like they're handling it as well as possible. Thanks.
  3. OT but I always read reviews on things like this. Really almost everything if I'm not familiar with the vendor. I even did it recently for a doctor (surgeon). 🙂
  4. That's where we got the ship after our land excursion through Patagonia. I seem to remember having a decent lunch but that's about it.
  5. Oh, gotcha. Thanks. So are the river cruises the same or just ocean. We're already talking about North American train trips.
  6. Hi. Are you replying to a different thread? I just don't see the connection.
  7. We were willing to share a 4-top to go to Jacques. Super nice couple. We didn't become 'friends' but had a totally nice meals.
  8. Yes, do have to keep things in perspective. What if they can never cruise in that area. Or anywhere near Russia, China, etc. We're lucky here in the US that it would probably take a lifetime to visit everything here. I could deal with that.
  9. Absolutely. If all ya want to do is complain, that's fine but it's not going to affect change. When I've stopped shopping at a store, they - at management level - will know why. I'm close to doing this with an MD.
  10. Good info. Got me to googling - better than cleaning the kitchen. Now THIS looks like a veal tomahawk: https://fairwaypacking.com/products/bone-in-veal-tomahawk-chop
  11. Where was the excursion? Obviously not Antarctica itself.
  12. Curious what "overprepared" means when it comes to food.
  13. Where's that drool emoji? That's insane.
  14. I'd guess the filet of veal could be the deal breaker...unless it's going to be on another menu. It sounds downright luscious.
  15. I have a bit of a negative bias toward restaurants that are in hotel. But Jose' Andres' places aren't like being in the hotel.
  16. Gratefully WE got the Drake Lake in both directions.
  17. Our Antarctica trip, which was actually an escorted land/sea which took us through Argentinian and Chilean Patagonia, also did Chilean fjords. Very nice.
  18. Yeah, it wasn't on my bucket list but Jimmy Buffet was and the food was AMAZING, a word I try not to use when describing.
  19. I interpreted their post as downplaying it be referring to it as was some ho-hum thing, which IMO.
  20. Indeed, sir. The food there is simply fantastic.
  21. Okay now. There's what you wrote. I'm interested in understanding this. The highlighted words. Please. BTW - great production shows? well, we did see Jimmy Buffet.
