  1. Don’t try to add it, just use the booking ID, name and date of birth to access. That *might* work on the web version. Sorry the chat wasn’t 100% helpful
  2. UGH, sorry you have that problem as well!! None of it works for us. We get all the way, see either $$ due or it balance out to zero and a big error. Different error message on the web-such a pain. We are also on the Sun, in August. I do suspect the problem will continue until we sail. It's super frustrating. I would say the inability to book for you is likely an app glitch, like we have. It's probably not loyalty related, but it could be. Good luck. The chat was unsuccessful for me. They only tried to book under the web, and found the same problem. They said, wait until you are on board.... I mentioned to them that was unhelpful. lol Good luck and careful. I got kicked out once on the chat when I tried to open the chat window up bigger, and had to wait all over again.... Really hope it's successful for you!!
  3. Wow! What an excellent upgrade treat!! Congratulations!! I suspect your GTY helped get you that upgrade because they oversold the inside category. I've never had that kind of luck. Go buy a lottery ticket (it's a waste of a few bucks!), but with that luck, I would totally do it! lol Enjoy your cruise!!
  4. I will say, it's annoying when they get it wrong. Can you book specialty dining? I cannot. I'm sure you can clear up the loyalty level easier than I can clear up specialty dining. Not sure which is worse, they both would bother me. Good luck getting that resolved. I hope its a quick and easy fix.
  5. I agree that Princess will err on the side of caution if it becomes dangerous to go, but I do think that Cabo is a relatively safe place. We've been to Todos Santos on our own, in a rental car. Never felt unsafe and I would go without any concern if on a cruise.
  6. Yes, and below my name it says elite in white lettering with a black background box. I've heard people have had issues with their loyalty level not showing up correctly. I think it can be cleared up with a message to Princess.
  7. If you click on your profile you will see your loyalty level. You don't really "see" your the specialty dinners. If you try to book and it works, your balance will be zero. At least, it does that for me, but I cannot book the reservation. It errors before the booking is completed.
  8. Window suite for the suite perks! You can view from your cabin or go to another deck to view from outside. We've had friends in a window suite and we loved it!! It didn't work for us because our kids were little and 4 in that space meant adding a rollaway. Today, I would jump on a window suite over a mini suite
  9. Booking an inside cabin and free upgrade to a Suite would work for me! Far better than $50 per cabin. Princess, please send me a letter. LOL Just kind of kidding. I mean, I'm giving Princess another shot with my upcoming cruise in August and we are in a suite for the first time with them. That cruise will be telling for us. It may end up being the cruise line we go on with the kids (high school and college), and we go elsewhere for us. I loved my Oceania experience. Time will tell.

  12. I got the same error on the app, and when I tried to book dining from the computer, it was a different error. The chat help was not helpful. They said to wait until I was onboard, which is unreasonable.
  13. The smooshing of the first and middle name is normal. It will not be a problem. It happens all the time. I've never had a problem, from Barcelona or any place. So long as the two smooshed names match your first and middle names
  14. We've done it a few times. In Mexico and Hawaii, take out from favorite places, brought food onboard, no problem.

  17. I understand many lucky folks out there can book their dining, but I am not able to. Deleted the app, added the app. Logged in with booking number. No ones app works, mine, DH, kids, the web.... We are in a suite, elite and already paid in full. SUPER annoying. Is there a number or email to reach out to at Princess for help? I will not be happy if we cannot get the reservations we want for our cruise in August at the times we want.

  19. If both are ordered at the same time, it's one email.
  20. When ordering, you have to select all the details for both medallions, even if all you choose is the free lanyard. If you only did it for 1, then you only ordered one. If you did it for both of you, then you have it covered for both. You may have only ordered hers if you didn't walk through the process for both
  21. I am one of those who likes the idea of tipping at the end of the cruise. If I feel that someone has gone above and beyond, I am happy to tip, $100 is fine, even if it translates to $20 per request. If I feel taken care of, I appreciate it and reward it. However, I am sure no one would turn down a $20 at the end of a cruise either. Anything is appreciated, right? or am I wrong? It is difficult because culturally my accent (American) assumes I'm an over tipper, but living abroad does make one realize that the rest of the world does not have that "American tipping culture". So, I prefer to do local customs, but because I'm "American" that may be perceived as cheap, but it's what we do.
  22. All vacations cost money. I have found the older I get, the higher my expectations are for the money spent. I do still like Princess after all of these years, but I also have decided that variety is key. We've enjoyed trying other lines. My new favorite might be Oceania, but with my years of loyalty, I know what to expect with Princess. Has it changed, sure, but I still enjoy it. I am looking forward to enjoying the Suite perks on our next sailing, and will book based on pricing, itinerary and overall price structure (meaning, one cruise might appear cheaper, but if another includes things I desire, it may make that "more expensive cruise" the one I prefer. I have never had a bad cruise on any line, and can always see the pros and cons of each option. Happy sailing!

  24. Typically Princess says you cannot change the age groups, I’ve never heard of anyone successfully getting their kids moved up or down to be with a sibling, but it never hurts to ask. We have been on cruises where there are so many children that Princess changes the age group ranges but that didn’t group our children together and we didn’t know that until we were on board that it would happen. When the kids were younger, we found it was good for them to go to the kids club the first day, meet some kids then schedule time back there to hang out. If they didn’t go early in the cruise it was harder to meet kids
