There could be a lot of biker activity as the Manx Grand Prix is running August 18th to 26th using the famous T.T. AFAIK the shuttle buses were provided by the port authority and not the cruise lines. They were not free. They ran from the individual terminals at Mol Adosat (the cruise terminal for larger cruise ships) back and forwards to the Portal de la Pau (at the base of the Columbus Column which is at the end of Las Ramblas and close to the WTC pier.) Even several years ago people were dragging their luggage across the bridge. The shuttle bus trip is about 10 minutes and fares in 2023 were $3 single/€4.50 return.

Medallion recognition is different to and independant of, star recognition. Medallions are awareded based on actual sailing days whereas stars are awarded based on sailing days + suite bonus (if booked) and spending/HIA. When is your cruise? I have used staxi.nl several times in Amsterdam and found them reliable. There is the advantage that you have a firm quoted price for the journey. If you take a taxi then you are subject to the vagaries of taximeters and navigation systems 😉 When we disembarked there were quite a few taxis waiting for a customer.

The slot is for 15 minutes. If you are there late, then you lose your slot and go through the regular line.

I asked this question of two beverage servers on Rotterdam earlier this month and the answer was that they personally received the tips if their name was on the receipt as the server. I am not sure how it would work in Speciality restaurants unless the wait person also got drinks and the receipt could be signed. I don't recollect anything having to be signed for the meal itself, nor was a receipt offered for signature for the drinks.
