  1. Totally agree with you re: the long walk. It was the only downside for me. I have bad knees too. I found it very interesting that I seemed to spend more time out on the balcony in the CP than I ever do in an ocean view balcony. Not sure why. For one thing, I found the couch in the room to be extremely uncomfortable for sitting and reading. I think that forced me out onto the balcony more but I really enjoyed it out there....especially at night.
  2. Thanks for the correction. I guess I only looked on the deck that affected me and made a broader assumption. I'm glad that at least we won't have a work closet next to us !
  3. I would think that the UDP would be available for your cruise by now.
  4. Dan and I will have 12229 on Wonder. I looked at the deck plans and they have put an interior cabin next door to the "29" cabins on both sides (229 and 629) so there is no longer a steward work room next door. I think that will decrease the random banging and the sounds of work carts going back and forth. Happy to see that. I totally prefer the CP balconies over the Boardwalk balconies. I find them much quieter (even though there is a lot of pool deck noise during the day), especially at night.
  5. Our Genie recommended we pre-book both Chef's Table and Izumi Hibachi since they can sell out.
  6. Received a cancellation email today for our 5-26-23 Mariner sailing. It is now showing β€œrefunded β€œ in the purchase history and the $100 OBC is showing. 2-3 more to go but it seems like things are progressing as they should.
  7. It will generally become available by April 15 but there is no set date for these to be published.
  8. Thanks. I never realized that Q class were different. Learn something new every day !
  9. For the most part, no. The exception to the multiple entree question is Giovanni's. Because they like to serve "family style", you can usually get multiple entrees there, but generally, not at the other specialty restaurants.
  10. I thought B-1 was scheduled to coincide with Laura's birthday ? I guess I assumed (always a bad idea) that B-2 would similarly be linked to Laura's b'day. The dates are irrelevant to us (save the Jan. potential for a charter).
  11. You can eat at any of the specialty restaurants (with limits as described above) so long as the restaurant can accommodate you....IOW, as long as you can get a reservation for those restaurants that require reservations.
  12. Yes. I ran into this recently. I wanted to use an instant comp for a sailing on Explorer (we already have a casino comp on the following cruise. so this would have given us a B2B). The EX sailng had already reached "max comps" so they wouldn't let us book. Bummer
  13. For most ships, the "default" free interior is a 4V. Anything above 4V you would have to pay the upgrade. If your ship doesn't have a 4V category, it would default to the lowest interior category on that ship.
  14. We will be there ! ….but we will be on Rhapsody. March 9-23. We’re going through the canal both ways (round trip). We’ll have to see if the itins overlap at all. Maybe we can meet up somewhere.
  15. Glad to be home ! What a whirlwind ! It was great fun though. My sincere thanks to everyone who worked so hard to make this happen. Safe travels to all Dan and Raye
  16. Interesting re: lobster (CK). When we sat down our waiter said they were serving 2 types of lobster tonite: broiled lobster tail or poached lobster. I said I would prefer the broiled tail from the MDR and that’s what I got. No discussion at all about not allowing the MDR lobster to be served in the CK. It was very small and a bit overdone but I was happy just to get it. Last night I asked if it would be possible to have a lamb shank from the MDR served in the CK on the last night and was told β€œno”….so I wouldn’t have been surprised if they had not served the broiled tail in the CK tonite but they did.
