No more credit given to PVPs for “on hold” cruises
scoobysnacks70 replied to audcc77's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
So do you just have to make the deposit with them and they you can pay out your cruise however you want? I have never had a PVP either -
Experienced Bingo Players - Walk Me Through the Process

I agree that it does not feel as random without seeing the balls actually drop--but somebody has got to win so maybe whoever is choosing (if that's the case) will pick me 🤷♀️ -
Experienced Bingo Players - Walk Me Through the Process

Cards are sold there before game starts. Usually they will have a package that will include a free dauber. Just show up and have fun! Good luck 🍀 -
I would say going up would be the right side (because the land will be on that side) and coming back would be the left 🙂

Carnival Dream Internet Speed

We were on it last July. It was not that great. No hard numbers for you. Even the chat feature was lacking. We would text someone and they would get the text hours later... -
Those are not crew members. They are locals earning a buck. Just like the star impersonators in LA and NY

I think that is more do to environmentalist than cost...The umbrellas left with the real straws

Free, or very heavily discounted, Carnival cruises
scoobysnacks70 replied to sofmall's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
I have received them but am not willing to pay the air fare. Nothing is free--you still have to pay port fees, taxes, gratuities and all the other extras. I am not a big gambler. I play the slots and spend about $20-40 a day when I do. On this last cruise I tried roulette for the 1st time and spent $50! Woohoo! I rarely "win" and usually just break even. I must be the demographic they are looking for 😄 -

Talk to the Maitre'D when you get onboard -
Those are awesome!

That is how I took it as well. I just ordered decorative magnets from Amazon and used command strips to secure them. Either the magnets were weak or the paint on the door was too thick 🤷♀️

Yes it is still a thing! Lol DECORATING YOUR STATEROOM DOOR AND STATEROOM We recognize some of our guests like to decorate their staterooms and we, too, love seeing your creative decorations. However, for safety reasons, we must ask that you abide by the following guidelines for decorating your stateroom door as well as the interior of your stateroom. In the interest of guest and crew safety, the following stateroom decoration policies will be instituted and strictly enforced: Decorations may consist only of fire retardant materials. Please note that items sprayed with fire retardant spray are not acceptable Decorations may only be placed on the stateroom door and not the surrounding frame, walls or railings You may use magnets or Command Strips but no adhesives such as tape or glue. Over-the-door hanging organizers must hang inside the stateroom, must also be of fire retardant material and cannot damage the door No decorations of any kind are allowed on balconies No decorations or items may be placed over light fittings or fixtures. This may restrict the airflow and cause the item to ignite No string lights of any kind are allowed

I had forgotten about the DOD! Yes definitely miss that and the toiletries. It's just little things but they do start to add up...

I miss the printed Fun Times and menus. I hate having to carry my phone around on the ship!. I used to lock it in the safe and check it occasionally in case an emergency arose...I miss the table cloths in the dining room for sure. Once a day cleaning of the cabin is fine with me.
-
They worked fine and left no residue or marks on the door. I understood that you couldn't use regular tape or anything that does leave a residue 🤷♀️ The doors are metal but my magnets wouldn't work
-
We did door deco on the Dream last July. You will need to get some of the command strips. Magnets did not stick.

Cannot Purchase Liquor for Cabin Anymore

You would fall over from the sticker shock anyway--the bottle of Jack was $135 and after fees was $160! -
I think if you do it manually and hand out cash (which I'm sure the staff would love!) then you would have to go have them removed since they automatically charge...I always pay mine ahead of time just so it's out of the way. We give a little extra at the dining room and to the steward

This disappoints me 😞 We had planned to go to Maya Chan but according to their website they are closed 6/1-8/31. We were looking at Jaime's as an alternative. It sounded great because everyone said they limited it to about 35 people. This sounds like that is not the case and doesn't sound fun at all.
