  1. So do you just have to make the deposit with them and they you can pay out your cruise however you want? I have never had a PVP either
  2. I agree that it does not feel as random without seeing the balls actually drop--but somebody has got to win so maybe whoever is choosing (if that's the case) will pick me 🤷‍♀️
  3. Cards are sold there before game starts. Usually they will have a package that will include a free dauber. Just show up and have fun! Good luck 🍀
  4. I would say going up would be the right side (because the land will be on that side) and coming back would be the left 🙂
  5. We were on it last July. It was not that great. No hard numbers for you. Even the chat feature was lacking. We would text someone and they would get the text hours later...
  6. Those are not crew members. They are locals earning a buck. Just like the star impersonators in LA and NY
  7. I think that is more do to environmentalist than cost...The umbrellas left with the real straws
  8. I have received them but am not willing to pay the air fare. Nothing is free--you still have to pay port fees, taxes, gratuities and all the other extras. I am not a big gambler. I play the slots and spend about $20-40 a day when I do. On this last cruise I tried roulette for the 1st time and spent $50! Woohoo! I rarely "win" and usually just break even. I must be the demographic they are looking for 😄
  9. The whole concept of these reserved areas reminds me of the episode on Frasier where him and Niles keep upgrading their club memberships because they keep hearing about an area that they don't have access to--eventually they end up in the alley behind the spa 🤣
  10. I don't fly very often and really prefer my stuff as close to me as possible but...I think they put it up there because then they don't have to carry it back to their seat and then all the way to the front of the plane when they get off. How rude!
  11. That is how I took it as well. I just ordered decorative magnets from Amazon and used command strips to secure them. Either the magnets were weak or the paint on the door was too thick 🤷‍♀️
  12. Yes it is still a thing! Lol DECORATING YOUR STATEROOM DOOR AND STATEROOM We recognize some of our guests like to decorate their staterooms and we, too, love seeing your creative decorations. However, for safety reasons, we must ask that you abide by the following guidelines for decorating your stateroom door as well as the interior of your stateroom. In the interest of guest and crew safety, the following stateroom decoration policies will be instituted and strictly enforced: Decorations may consist only of fire retardant materials. Please note that items sprayed with fire retardant spray are not acceptable Decorations may only be placed on the stateroom door and not the surrounding frame, walls or railings You may use magnets or Command Strips but no adhesives such as tape or glue. Over-the-door hanging organizers must hang inside the stateroom, must also be of fire retardant material and cannot damage the door No decorations of any kind are allowed on balconies No decorations or items may be placed over light fittings or fixtures. This may restrict the airflow and cause the item to ignite No string lights of any kind are allowed
  13. The acoustics in that area would be awful! Even a good singer wouldn't sound their best...
  14. I had forgotten about the DOD! Yes definitely miss that and the toiletries. It's just little things but they do start to add up...
  15. I miss the printed Fun Times and menus. I hate having to carry my phone around on the ship!. I used to lock it in the safe and check it occasionally in case an emergency arose...I miss the table cloths in the dining room for sure. Once a day cleaning of the cabin is fine with me.
  16. We experienced this in 7/2022 as well. They blamed it on the medical screenings. I would think that would not be an issue now. I would think between 12-1 you would be fine. When I was at guest services at that time people were pretty much just walking on
  17. IMO the non-smoking casinos are too bright on the ships. I just can't get comfortable in them. Not sure why they are brighter than the smoking. Maybe they keep the lights dim so you can't see the nicotine
  18. They worked fine and left no residue or marks on the door. I understood that you couldn't use regular tape or anything that does leave a residue 🤷‍♀️ The doors are metal but my magnets wouldn't work
  19. We did door deco on the Dream last July. You will need to get some of the command strips. Magnets did not stick.
  20. You would fall over from the sticker shock anyway--the bottle of Jack was $135 and after fees was $160!
  21. I think if you do it manually and hand out cash (which I'm sure the staff would love!) then you would have to go have them removed since they automatically charge...I always pay mine ahead of time just so it's out of the way. We give a little extra at the dining room and to the steward
  22. This disappoints me 😞 We had planned to go to Maya Chan but according to their website they are closed 6/1-8/31. We were looking at Jaime's as an alternative. It sounded great because everyone said they limited it to about 35 people. This sounds like that is not the case and doesn't sound fun at all.
