He didn't install the backsplash Deb. Bill just removed the Formica, the sheetrock was pretty torn up. Then we had a sheetrock guy come in and skim coat it and sand it. Then the tile experts came in and did the installation. This whole thing was a long, complicated process. For the next project, flooring, we will have to learn to use something called "Self-Leveling Concrete". The tile guy explained that it would be needed in some areas on the floor. Should be fun, Not. He will give us a pass on the asbestos issues, if it has already been applied before the pre-inspection.

I do feel very badly for you Dani. It is awful when you wait all this time, and have high expectations, and then it all goes wrong. What a disappointment. And then covid on top of it. I'm sad that it was one of those bad cruises. I hope future ones will make up for it. But they haven't actually been trending in that direction. We have a B2B booked for March, but I'm not booking anything else. Too expensive, and we have to get the houses situation resolved.

Did anyone ever read, "The Kraken Wakes" also retitled as "Out of the Deeps" by John Wyndham? It is a scary long form novella from the 50's. It is the first time I heard the term. I love all of his books. He also wrote "Day of the Triffids" and "The Midwich Cuckoos" which was later made into a really bad movie entitled "Village of the Dammed" I read all the time. Presently reading Brad Meltzer, "The Lightning Rod". And BTW, there was an article about Ashley from BD today. (On Yahoo) She is raking in the money from her "Only Fans" account. (Soft porn) and didn't like the Bravo editing, but she appreciates the publicity.

Navigator checks out blankets on the pool deck, along with pool towels because it is cold. And some people apparently watch the green and orange movie screen. I agree, they were not meant to be garments.

Radiance of the Seas - Balcony Dividers Question
Coralc replied to cruisin4kicks's topic in Royal Caribbean International
The dividers don't open on Radiance class ships, Tim. -
There was a lady at the Vet's office with her under the weather Doberman. I was still waiting to go in with my dog, when she came back out looking sort of distressed. I asked if her dog was okay? She said, "I'm so embarrassed. Apparently, she swallowed a pair of my panty hose, and he had to fish it out." We've never had a corprophager, but our neighbor's black lab, just started doing it when the new puppy arrived.

I would recommend it, and would actually take their excursion, if we chose to do it again. We did it on our own last time. It was a complicated trip with a bus to Red Hook, the ferry, then another bus to Trunk Bay. And then the whole thing in reverse to get back to the ship. It was a lot of per person costs and it would be much easier on a ship excursion. And Cruz Bay is the town, and you can go where you wish from there.

You are going to pack the night before and leave your luggage out in the hallway by 11 PM. There should only be a couple of things to pack in the morning. Bring a carryon or backpack with essentials and electronics to add PJ's and stuff in. Have an early breakfast in the MDR or Windjammer. Go back and pick up your bag. Pick up your luggage in the terminal and depart. Is that what you are asking? Please don't try to carry off your bags with a late departure slot. You will just clog up departure for everyone else. Let them handle your luggage.

They let you bring walkie talkies. Are baby monitors different?

Minimum amount for group pricing discounts?
Coralc replied to xps15z's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I think (have read on here) that it is 8 cabins for bonus perks. If you can find a TA that has group rates already, that might be a discount in, and of itself. -

Wow. Any kind of bugs en masse like that are kind of disgusting, and messy. Hopefully, they will be gone or diminished in a few days. I'm also very sorry to hear that you have come down with covid, Dani. I hope you feel better soon. It is not fun to be sick when you are away from home. Great photos, though!
