  1. You can be a proponent for emed tests all you wish. RCI does agree that it has to be a proctored antigen test. In spite of this CLIA test nonsense, it is not a requirement, because most pharmacies and testing sites do not print it on their test results. CLIA is a voluntary organization, and check in people are no longer looking for it now that there are so many other testing options are available. I'm not buying anymore antigen tests, now that I have an entire box of FDA, EUA approved tests that were actually fully covered by my insurance. My insurer will provide me with 8 tests a month, they will only reimburse $12 for emed tests. The proctoring fee for them is minimal.
  2. Vision class ships only have fridges in the balcony and above cabins. Except Enchantment also has them in the (newer) staterooms that were added during the stretch.
  3. Great photo! We stayed at the hotel to the left of the billboard. Albergo del Senato. It is in a wonderful location. Have a Fabulous vacation!
  4. Yes. Any visually proctored covid test with documented/printed results is acceptable.
  5. I don't know if anyone is watching the NBA finals? We are not big sports fans, but the 4th quarter was exciting and Stephen Curry is an amazing basketball player.
  6. Quick Vue at Home OTC Covid 19 test is on the FDA approved list. https://www.fda.gov/medical-devices/coronavirus-covid-19-and-medical-devices/home-otc-covid-19-diagnostic-tests
  7. Navigator is $76 at the end of September, too. And not a holiday sailing.
  8. You get US dollars. There is no foreign transaction fee. All currency on the ships are in US dollars.
  9. And I said, yes, you can. Same restaurant, different nights. And you can eat anywhere you want when they are open. If you exceed your credit, they can start a new tab.
  10. You can certainly put them in another room if you wish, but kids aren't required to buy anything. The only requirement is adults (over 21) sharing a cabin are supposed to both purchase the deluxe beverage package if one person does. But even with that, the other person can actually purchase the refreshment package instead. You have to call to set it up that way, but it can be done.
  11. I doubt if they will repair it. They will probably just put a tarp over it like they did on Liberty.
  12. We have a set of 4 of the swirly glasses that a bartender gave us. I'm not a big cocktail drinker, but they are great for ice cream and hot fudge sundaes.
  13. Thanks Pat. He is great at starting projects..... Hopefully he will get back to it soon. It sounds like Alaska was wonderful. What a beautiful location. Next cruise will be on Navigator again, the 7 night in September. Thanks for asking.
  14. I was playing around on the test board. Bluewood is okay. Yellowwood is okay. Yellow+Blue wood is not okay.
  15. Walking in the sand will be a challenge after the replacement.
  16. That's kind of funny. (not) A friend of ours tried to board a cruise with a CA Real ID and learned the same thing as the OP. A Real ID is not a substitute for a passport. A Real ID will get you on a domestic flight (after May 2023) or entry into a federal building. As will a passport card or passport. But that is about it. I don't have to go into federal buildings that often. And when we fly, we have our passports or passport cards for domestic flights. They are really not good for much of anything. We now have these fancy passport holders for passports and vaccine cards.
  17. Are you supposed to be putting out the Sluggo, slug & snail bait, too? Strawberries need it. Maybe in the shed? I'm glad you are feeling better. Weather is better after our unusual June rain and humidity. I don't think I would ever eat chicken paws either. Your son and DIL, must have interesting tastes.
  18. Very Pretty! But I think this is Hibiscus, not Hollyhocks. But apparently there is a Hibiscus Hollyhock, so I guess it could be that, too. In any case, it is a gorgeous flower!
  19. It is tough for us tourists who don't have a car.
  20. It is only two nights. And no one will be flying home from Coco Cay anyway. I would just use their certified birth certificate and letter from parents.
  21. I think it is over by Publix (Ross Dress for Less) in the shopping center James. I believe it is this place: https://labdoctor.org/
  22. Bill is in the kitchen removing the Formica now. Apparently, there are You Tube videos on how to remove Formica. Who knew? The drywall will probably need to be skim coated and sanded afterwards though. We will see how it goes.
  23. You can reserve the same restaurant more than once if you want. The UDP only works at restaurants for lunch on sea days, because generally, that is only when they are open. I think Playmakers opened at 2:30 on port days, so you could have lunch there any day. Same with Johnnie Rockets, you can dine whenever they are open at no additional cost.
  24. Hopefully they will credit it back to your card. I was curious, it states this under terms & conditions: If you are booking directly through Royal Caribbean, you must redeem your MyCruise Reward prior to making your final payment for the cruise vacation.
