  1. As would most people if they were wearing it in the buffet. The O P specifically said to wear going to and from the hot tub and that they wouldn't wear on public areas like the buffet. Wow your last paragraph below is a bit rude especially the last sentence. Wow again
  2. Yes we are but on Christmas Day it doesn’t matter what you have booked apparently you are randomly given a sitting time. I am just wondering if beforehand you might have some sort of questionnaire about what sitting your world like on Christmas Day . Whether you get that or not is a different matter of course
  3. Thanks both, hopefully someone might have an answer about Christmas Day
  4. I don't agree with this comment, I have seen loads wearing bathrobes to the hot tubs or pools. As has been commented earlier a bathroom is different to a dressing gown , which I have indeed seen people wearing, but only occasionally and why would any body want to get a dressing gown wet as material is different.
  5. Can I ask please do you have to book on the website for the freedom dining now or do you just turn up. I can't eat late so we always eat when the restaurant opens, so I would prefer that we could just book it on the web based 'app' . If you have to turn up what sort of time do people start queuing before it opened? Also does anyone know the procedure on Christmas Day? As I understand it you get allocated a dining time, what happens if we get the late time as I wouldn't be able to eat then and I was looking forward to Christmas dinner in the MDR but at a reasonable time
  6. From your cabin to the hot tub or pool area would be absolutely fine, I have seen many people doing that
  7. I was going to say exactly the same, you couldn't miss the fact you had to change your clocks on the 3 P & O cruises we have done since lockdown.
  8. I always use a face towel as well , that is one thing I don't like about most cruise lines towels the face towels are really small and get damp quickly. However the P & O bath towels are nice and big , certainly bigger than on Princess.
  9. Yes I know, my post was about the complaints about the night time cabin service bring abolished and people saying they can't get their towels changed twice a day now. No point them leaving in the shower if they're not coming in.
  10. I think my main point of this post was to say I think some people moan and winge about P & O just because they can. Perhaps they think it gives them some sort of street cred, especially on social media where they post under their own name, to say hey look at me aren't I good I change my towels twice a day and my sheets once a day. When in reality they don't actually do either. Now for anyone that does actually do that don't jump on me but I'm just saying most people don't. Poor P & O you can't please all of the people all of the time. When we cruise on Princess or other lines that still do a turndown service, we always tell them not to bother to do anything to our cabin. As long as we get the activity paper for the next day we are happy.
  11. Now reading on here and other social media the main concern about the Cabin Stewards not servicing the cabins in the evenings is people saying they can't now get their towels changed twice a day, which personally I ( and others) find a bit rediculous with most people saying how often do you change them at home. If they are that desperate to have clean towels twice a day go up to the pool deck and get clean ones from there. Aren't we supposed to be saving the oceans or whatever it says on the leaflet in the bathrooms? Well read this - unbelievably a staggering 44% of people only change their towels every 3 months. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/newsbeat-66735226?xtor=ES-211-[64317_PANUK_NLT_37_ENG_StateOfChaos_RET_O35]-20230912-[bbcnewsbeat_howoftenshouldyouwashandchangeyourtowel_healthandwellbeing] Now that's taking it to the other extreme.
  12. It had Caribbean on it but not Priority boarding which is why I phoned P & O and they said as long as it says Caribbean it is fine. I didn't complain onboard as it was the port people being awkward not P & O, plus it was too late then it was already gone 4 o'clock and I was trying to book Limelight Club and the theatre shows not showing before we got on etc . ( Had OBC to use so couldn't book Limelight before boarding)
  13. What time has anyone been on Arcadia recently that is Caribbean level been given for boarding please? As last year on Arvia we were given 4 o'clock and despite saying to the people marshalling the crowds at the port that P & O had told us that as we were Caribbean we could get on earlier they said well we're not P & O so you have to wait for your allocated time. So needless to say we missed our first ever Loyalty Lunch on embarkation day 😢😢 very disappointing
  14. Yes, thanks, we were going to do that but will wait and see if Sat Nav takes us down the A33 and through the middle of Southampton first and see how many hold ups etc
  15. @John Bull as you seem to know the way well, would it be a good idea to come off on A33 ( as above) and follow Sat Nav through Southampton
  16. Thanks all, depends what the traffic is likes on the day, the Sat Nav might even take us through the middle of Southampton if not congested there. If we were going to Ocean Terminal we always drive straight down The Avenue but Mayflower not so easy as you have to turn off a long way up and I'm not sure what the roads are like that way if we opt to drive straight down through Southampton and not take M27/M271 . The Sat Navs just go by the road and not how small they are or if cars park either side, used by many buses etc etc
  17. Has anyone tried going into Mayflower Terminal through Dock Gate 20 instead of 10? We have driven out that way before and the coach took use in that way once. If you have tried it, how easy is it to get in that way, can you just drive through the gate, if we get through the gate the Sat Nav should hopefully do the rest for us. Presumably it should be slightly quicker if we are coming in from the M27/M271. Thanks for any info. Happy Cruising 🚢🚢🚢
  18. Well I thought it was a joke at first and then with all the talk about the changes I admit I thought someone had misunderstood the new rules.
  19. I wasn't jumping to conclusions that's why I asked to see if anyone else knew
  20. So if we want to swop out some of our minibar will we now get charged? We normally swop the whiskey for anything else and the cans of soda for diet or no sugar.
  21. I’m with you on that one, benefits for some but not everyone 🙁
  22. It would be really handy if the OP came back in here and posted what his TA had to say about it then it might clear it up correctly .
  23. Perhaps the TA also wasn’t aware. I think what all Shareholders now want to know is what constitutes these special deals that exclude you from getting the extra OBC because in some cases there doesn’t seem to be any logic in it. @Raymondo111 please let us know what your TA has to say when you ask them it might ( or might not ) throw some light on it.
  24. I thought it mainly applied to Princess Cruises where in the USA people get the free Casino cruises, I think they just have to pay for the port fees. I would be interested to know what P & O think is a reduced rate
