Coming up is our second cruise at Caribbean Level. Can I ask please what is this monthly magazine we are supposed to get and also it says Christmas Gift. Has anyone had their Christmas Gift yet please as we are away , on a cruise off course, for Christmas so didn't want it to be sat on the doorstep for 2 weeks. We have also never had a monthly magazine. On our first cruise as Caribbean we never got priority boarding . We had a boarding time of 4.30 so I phoned P & O and they said don't worry they will let you on anyway. They didn't, they said it doesn't say that we don't care what P & O said so we queued for over 3 hours. Fortunately this time it actually says priority boarding. I see elsewhere the list of the future Captains had been published , apparently it was in a magazine. What magazine was that, we haven't had anything. Thanks for any replies especially about the Christmas Gift which I'm guessing might be a calender

Plus remember shuttle buses are included with Select but not Saver. Plus for anyone this applies to you can get the Forces OBC with Select but not with Saver.

We always tip our cabin steward and as normally even on fixed dining you get the same table most of the time we tip the waiter and the assistant waiter. Not as much as we used to before tips were added into the price. We have never tipped extra to the Maitre D as always expected on American lines. We don't drink so the problem of do we or don't we tip the bar staff never comes up.

Thanks that's showing the bed head on to the window but I understand on Arcadia some are on the side as mentioned below Thanks so the beds weren't head onto the back wall as on some ships. Would it be easier to have a double bed then otherwise if we had two twins one of the beds sides would be right against the window would it? I am thinking that correctly? We would prefer a double but not if it restricts the space to move around in.

Hi, does anyone know whether the beds in the obstucted view cabins on E Deck are in front off the windows or at the side. It makes a difference as to whether we ask for twin beds as they would give more room in the middle if in front of the window or a double if on the side. Specifically Cabin E72 Thanks

Isn't the chocolate in the dryers rumour something that gets wheeled out every now and then for the last goodness knows how many years? It might have happened once but since then anyone relaying the story has never actually seen proof of it or knows anyone that has. So normally just one of the incorrect rumours that circulate around the ship, normally started in the place where it was supposed to have happened, the launderette, but noone saw it.

Is it a sit down lunch or a buffet please?

This has been in all the papers and all over social media now for the last few days so is it wrong of me to think wouldn't it be good if one of the papers investigated and named and shamed the women ( not going to call them ladies) in question?

I know I'm going to get slated for this but I really do think people trying to get their monies worth from the drinks package is part of the problem, and I suspect that might have been what was egging these women on.

This was the follows up post Gareth posted a day ago :- gareth_gates It’s our last day onboard @pandocruises Arvia and, in spite of a few individuals, we’ve had the best time. Thanks for all of your kind messages relating to my ‘Stand up to Bullying’ video. Many people have thanked me for making a stand and speaking up; I appreciate all your comments 😊 But - the person who really needs to be thanked is this strong girl beside me. It was her who stood up to the bullies. Thank you @allanataylor_ for standing up for me. Your courage has impacted more people than you know in the fight against Bullying; and hopefully these 3 women will think twice before engaging in such behaviour again. Thanks to Neil Oliver and his team onboard Arvia for dealing with the situation immediately. They moved us to another cabin straight away and the 3 women were pulled into the office and given a warning. Again, hopefully they’ve learnt their lesson. I’ve worked for @pandocruises for 5 years and have never experienced this type of behaviour before. The people onboard these ships are always so lovely and I enjoy performing on them. I can’t wait to be back on Arvia in January. But in the meantime I’m joining their other ship Iona next week; where I’ll be including a brand new song to my set; David Bowies ‘Ch-ch-ch Changes’ 🤣😩 #BeKind #standup #standuptobullying

Just wondering if you have all seen the Gareth Gates Video about the bullying from his neighbours on the ship out in the Caribbean. Not sure which ship but could be Arvia I suppose or Britannia. It's disgusting what is wrong with people. Apparently it's 3 middle age women in cabin 8206 who he has also heard taking about their children and grandchildren , so should know better, taking the mickey out of his stutter and other things for days. He posted on his own page on a well known SM page and others have reposted on P & O pages. He wants to raise awareness of bullying and says the women should be ashamed of themselves

Well I don't think any of us want to get norovirus , so again people shouldn't fill their own bottles from the water dispensers in the buffet. Or indeed refill their used water glasses . Surely it's a no brainer especially as it clearly says you are not allowed to Just editing this to add a post from other social media. Surely this is the reason not to fill bottles up from water dispensers and to wash hands properly:- "Civitavetcchia - today 11th November Sadly all passengers being told to be off the ship by 10:00 and not allowed back on board until 16:00 to allow a deep clean due to rising numbers of norovirus."

It is about the health issue in the buffet. On a recent Princess cruise I complained twice about this as not only were people filling their water bottles they were filling flasks and insulated mugs with the coffee. As regards the bottle filling stations around Iona and Arvia apparently if you sit your bottles correctly in the space provided at the bottom the bottle itself won't reach the spout but the water will go in the bottle. ( Hope that made sense ) . Also people know that others have filled bottles there so it's up to them if they used it. In the buffet the assumption is that the water stations are all clean and free from contamination.
