  1. We went there for lunch on 11/13. Delicious! Caprese salad, cheese and pepper pasta, and a whole sea bass.
  2. This the first cruise I have needed to really pay attention to activity levels. 14 day Med cruise to Greece, Turkey and Italy. When we boarded and got the updated excursion descriptions, most excursions had increased in activity level. We think it is due to the amount of cobblestones in this area. Unfortunately, cobblestones are not my friends nowadays! Very few "easy" excursions or even "moderate". Since I walk so slowly I've had to cancel any marked "strenuous". Just don't want my fellow passengers always waiting for me to catch up. Found that just because it is labeled "panorama" does not mean there isn't walking or stairs involved. Going forward I will try looking things up on YouTube!
  3. Currently on Splendor Athens-Athens-Rome. Did the pre-cruise in Athens. Since we came in a day before the pre-cruise started we did the Hop On Hop Off bus the first day and a Food Tour that evening. Next day was Poseiden's temple, lunch, and dinner. I opted out of day 2 and 3 due to a bad knee, but from my friend's description both were good and they were onboard by 1:30. Doing the Rome/Tivoli post cruise in a few days. Once again the first day is empty so will probably do HOHO. Will report back after.
  4. Been in Istanbul and Izmir this week. High winds kept us from docking in Bodrum. Ephesus tomorrow. Seen nothing unusual or disturbing.
  5. Thanks @flossie009. I will wave to you at Piraeus tomorrow as I board Splendor!
  6. Luke is a destinations manager that makes a difference! His great attitude flows down to his team. And yes he wore shorts in the Arctic Circle last year!
  7. Yes, it does. Gold loyalty level and above and concierge cabins and above get up to 4 simultaneous logins. @Pcardad please correct me about the suite level if I'm incorrect.
  8. I use AT&T which is also $10 /day. They cap it at $100 for the month automatically, so anything over 10 days is "included".
  9. We join in Athens on October 30. Are you staying onboard for the next segment?
  10. You can fly in up to 30 days before your cruise and fly out up to 30 days after your cruise. A wonderful option in my opinion. My experience (April 2022) was that they would even book me out of a different country.
  11. We take a picture of the label then can show it to them!
  12. Been there twice in the last 10 months and carry my meds in my carry on bag. No problems at all.
  13. I've been wondering about this since I board in 10 days on a cruise with no sea days. Thanks for the info. Will just try what I want at dinner!
  14. Two notable items that are sometimes not listed on the schedule in Passages, but may only appear as photo ads: Old and New World wine tasting of included wines Sunday Brunch at Sea Great advice to look at all the "ads"!
  15. I was on same sailing as @mj_holiday in mid-November 2018. I used plastic shoe covers a couple of days. Also carried a small collapsible umbrella in my day pack. I remember using it our day in Manaus. @Pcardad, we did not have the giant moths on our November cruise. We were a bit disappointed!
  16. In the past the Sette Mari menu changes every two days. The menus rotate of two weeks, I think. I haven't been on since last summer, though, so this might have changed. Will comment next month.
  17. I bring magnets to post our daily plans. We are nerdy types that bring a printed spreadsheet with room to write in any social plans each day.
  18. Thought you would love this! Sorry you had a limited time. On our river cruise they just gave us the tickets so we could stay as long as we wanted and then either take the tour bus back or walk back. I think we stayed about 3 hours!
  19. Funny. The George Inlet crab feast for the cruise @RELS and we are taking, the excursion is for 7:30 a.m. I'm a big fan of that excursion, but even I won't do it for breakfast!
  20. I don't board until October 30th so happy to join along with you!
  21. Do you just let Room Service know where you would like your dinner served?
  22. You can order any included wine in any bar or restaurant. If they have to go to another location to get it, it might take a little while. You can also request a bottle for your suite.
