  1. American Icon and Silk are part of the Main Dining Room. They're used for My Time Dining. Wherever you see the MDR menus, they will be the same for these two rooms.
  2. Sorry, yes, I meant to write May and edited my answer but not quickly enough. I am based in Portugal but I use a US TA and always get them to confirm the prices for me. So far, they have always been the same as the prices I see on Royal's US website.
  3. The 12th of May 2-night cruise is 2023. Currently the cheapest available on the US website (assuming no C&A balcony discount) is a gty balcony at $1304.
  4. Gotta love that 2-night "Paris" cruise on Anthem. Why do they even do that one? It seems so pointless.
  5. It's been happening to me sporadically (android) but I have been able to fix it by going down to the bottom where it says "browse our ships", picking one at random and then once I'm in a random cruise, clicking on the choose another sailing option. That seems to force my sailings to reappear. I'm not tech savvy enough to know if it's a work-around or pure coincidence.
  6. I will be devastated if I can't get my nightly slice of Royal chocolate cake. 😭
  7. We did the hoho bus in Naples on our Odyssey OTS cruise back in May. I really the scenic part but wasn't very taken with the city centre bit. I wish we'd had a better option but it was a last minute thing when our independent walking tour fell through.
  8. The figures on the bell tower are mechanical and every day at midday they all move while the clock chimes. We saw it purely by chance the one time we stopped in Messina. It's quite a show.
  9. I'd say that's very likely. Anthem has been doing 7-night cruises to the fjords from Southampton for the past lots of years. Jewel has alternating routes, some of which go to the fjords and some of which don't. Jewel's itineraries tend to be longer; for next year they're mostly 12 nights.
  10. Could be. They're going to need something to replace Oasis.
  11. They have some really interesting transatlantic itineraries too.
  12. The Jewel "Iceland and Ireland" is a bit of a misnomer though, since it goes to Iceland and Scotland and doesn't have a single stop in Ireland. 🤔
  13. You are right. And I think we might be following you in the not too distant future, especially since they have a number of itineraries that sail from Lisbon.
  14. Yup. Hope springs eternal, as they say, but I guess we really should know better by now. 😕
  15. Looks like it's going to be same old, same old. I wish they'd come up with something new. 😕
  16. When we were on board last month, the only show that required reservations was Spectra's Cabaret and it was done on board. Everything else was first come first served. I don’t know if they're doing it differently now that the ship is back in the US, but you should definitely keep your eye on the entertainment tab in the cruise planner because people are reporting that pre-cruise entertainment bookings appear to be making a come-back and Anthem is one of the ships mentioned.
  17. Same here but for a different reason. We speak to each other in Portuguese, which can be a bit awkward if we're seated at the same table with other guests who don't have any knowledge of the language (although it's often an ice breaker as we usually get asked what language it is). But with the MTD set up of close tables, we can chat for a bit with our neighbours and not feel any awkwardness about then switching back to Portuguese.
