  1. I am not going to get involved in the 'debate'. But I would love to only have the table for only 60-90 mins. I just want to eat and go.
  2. I don't think this would work for P&O. Everyone who couldn't get their first choice would just turn up then anyway. Like they do now
  3. Has Britannia now adopted the queuing system too?
  4. Having read your previous post. I think in your position I would have a word with the MD. There is usually a time available to discuss dietary requirements. Bearing in mind not all tables for two are suitable. I am sure something could be arranged. Especially as this is a need, not a want.
  5. I would agree with this. First night had dinner booked and were waiting in the bar. Others were waiting. Some were called. After second group were called and we weren't. We just went to restaurant and said it wasn't working. The next day I went to reception and said I wanted them to log me in BUT I wanted to see every step. Problem solved. No problems after that. p.s. I knew the problem would be me. My son's stock phrase when he fixes our IT is 'user error' 😀
  6. If you don't want more entertainment venues and more dining options. Go on all the other ships apart from Iona and Arvia. Problem solved.
  7. Lobster on the menu in MDR on Iona. It could have been gala night but not 100% sure
  8. He will be fine. Perfectly acceptable attire
  9. We used to go to the lido too. I have a photograph of the kids in the river. You can't see any water, just a few hundred air beds 😂
  10. I have just checked my orders and Epicurean and Limelight were cheaper and loyalty discount was also applied. Epicurean was £24 instead of £28 onboard Limelight £28 instead of £35 onboard. So with discount a significant saving
  11. It isn't the child's fault. Just terrible parenting. A tired child should be in bed not in a restaurant annoying other people
  12. They were on Iona and Britannia too
  13. I think we are talking at crossed purposes here. We didn't have to queue for any restaurant. We tried most of the options. Some we had a time slot others we used the app., but no physical queueing
  14. I don't think you should have to book shows on any of the other ships. However on Iona, so I guess Arvia too they let the entertainment staff know how popular they are. If everyone hasn't been able to book the first night they will repeat the show. This is possible as the other acts can perform elsewhere. For the restaurants it is much easier to book rather than traipse around the ship only to find where you wanted is full and have to set off somewhere else.
  15. Mb thank you for reporting on your cruise. I realise it wasn't entirely the experience you wanted. At least you haven't been put off and managed to book even more cruises.
  16. ICF thank you so much for your posts. I love your zest for life. Enjoy Henley. I look forward to your next cruise with eager anticipation
  17. Andy you will be fine. You are much younger than us. I have only had a mobile phone for two years and found no problems. I am definitely not tech savvy. I used to book our evening meal while we were getting dressed. Once I had pressed 'we are on our way' I left the phone in the cabin for the rest of the night. We didn't experience any queues either on the ship or for shuttles. It is a new type of cruise but so full of different entertainment and food.
  18. It was Iona. Worth mentioning though is every night after I read the Horizon I altered and cancelled bookings to fit in all the entertainment I wanted to see. Unlike the other ships there are so many acts that don't appear in the theatre.
  19. Are you sure you can only book Headliners onboard. We booked at home. Either way the early show was 6.45pm
