First Cruise, are excursions a must?

I was on the Cunard Ambassador in 1973 ,a 7 day cruise from NY to Bermuda.There were no excursions on that cruise.I assumed that was the norm. -
The niece of a guy I know won the Amazing Race a few years ago.She is a lawyer living in LI and did not move or give up her job.

I actually would prefer Amazing Race if I would be a participant.

Hard sided vs soft sided luggage

I bought hard sided in a Kohl’s in Long Island .Previously I bought overpriced soft sided in Macy’s in Roosevelt Field. -
I never wear shoes.I have black New Balance sneakers to wear evenings and white for daytime and off the ship.

Some people use green apples .I take 2 ginger root tablets the day before the cruise and two when boarding the cruise. I bring a bag of glazed ginger as well.

I go back to the days when there were no such thing as excursions .I can always find interesting things to do on my own. -

I definitely believe that you should get a free cruise.I never got an e-mail congratulating me for accumulated posts. Back in the day when CC had contests I won numerous times and received real prizes,not key chains .

I have blue eyes .In high school I had a huge crush on a blue eyed girl .I asked her out and during the course of conversation on our date we realized that we were cousins.
