Weird....I just got a haircut today.....in CA.....🙂 This IS what I look like, too. One of the members of this board is my buddy here in CA, and she mentioned to me that my avatar on CC actually looks like me. People who text with me, then meet me in person, get this puzzled look on their face: like my phone memoji came to life!!

I was on the Enchantment from 10/20/22 to 10/29/22. Our group of five had a table and time assigned to us that was near the door. We ate at 6pm. By 6:30 the whole exterior of the entrance was a mob scene with people waiting. I'm not talking about waiting for a table, I'm talking about waiting to get to the podium to check in. Just advising everyone have a Plan B if they don't want to get an assigned table/time. It's called anyTIME dining, not walk up and sit down dining. If you have an assigned table / time and aren't going to use the table on a given night, just stop at the podium the night before and tell them. They will unblock your table/time for the next night.
-
Next time you are assigned a table/time in MTD, ask at the podium if you need to get in line. I have been told every time to just go to the table.

I will remember to push back if there's ever another time when RCCL wants to charge me.

I had a similar experience 3 days ago. In my case the system attempts to apply the solo discount DP340, but if the promo is more, I get that: I don't get both. But, I also got a resident discount and "extra savings" discount of $38. I don't know if the "extra" was the difference between the solo discount and the 30%, or it might have been a Pinnacle thing. You'd think they would just give me the either/or in one line item, but they didn't. I just gladly take the discounts.

I am not trying to argue the point with you. However, you are coming from the point of view of an experienced travel agent who KNOWS how it SHOULD be. I'm coming from the point of view of my experience, which was different. The intent of this board, also from my point of view, is to help other people, not correct other people. I'm informed now, and I NOW know to challenge the charge in the future. But, what happened, happened, and the messenger should not be killed, so to speak. We both know that RCCL reps are working from scripts that don't cover all the variations. So, now the OP knows how it SHOULD be, as well as how it COULD be. I'm perfectly happy to absorb new information, and thank you for the clarification.

I got charged, and then they reversed the charge. Just explaining the possibility it may happen. The agent to OP got didn't even think the C&A number could be entered. You never know what you're going to get, as Forrest Gump said.........

After you get seated the first night, if you like the table and the wait staff, stop at the podium on the way out. Tell the maitre 'd you want that table every night, and give him a hour range for the time. He will advise you what time is best. Show up at that time on day 2, and stand in the "have reservation" line. Confirm/change the time a little, if needed. After that you just walk in and go to your table. If it's occupied, go back and ask the podium attendant quickly to let you know when it's ready. They get it straight usually by day 3. You may have to take a different table, but you WILL end up with a confirmed table and time. MUCH easier, and no waiting. I've done this since MTD started. Just be a little flexible with the time.

I've been on 10 cruises this year, including b2b, and I'd say only 2 of them were walk right on the ship. There has been a significant increase in the number of passengers getting off and on these ships. So, plan for the worst/hope for the best. Take a book or download movies on a device. I take my 366 book Kindle library with me on my iphone, so I always have a book to read wherever I am.

If you have a significant price difference that covers any change fee with a non-refundable deposit, then ask for the repricing. If you have a refundable deposit, then ask for the repricing. Then, if there's an issue about getting the same cabin, AND you are a Crown and Anchor member, ask the RCCL rep to transfer the call to Loyalty Resolutions. If you are NOT a C&A member, your agent asks to be transferred to Resolutions. The point is if it gets too be too much work or trouble, they will send it to one of the Resolutions Departments. Those people can / might be more helpful. (I should have put this in a decision flow chart, but I'm too lazy to make one)

https://pevvesseltraffic.broward.org/webx/ Click on Vessel header to alphabetize by vessel name Z to A, so the Vision shows up at the top of the list. The "TO" column is the dock/pier.

Call back. This is with my C&A number entered, AND the 30% off, AND a CA resident discount. They calculate the C&A single supplement discount and I get it or the going promo (30% off), whichever is more of a discount. Booked 3 days ago :

Arcade Discount Benefit buy $50 get extra $25
pcur replied to Marlin girl's topic in Royal Caribbean International
This may be a duplicate, because two previous posters are on my ignore list, so apologies, if needed: $25 - 5 = $20 sale price $50 - 10 = $40 sale price $100 - 30 = $70 sale price -
40% to 70% chance of rain in the Caribbean equates to a 5 minute rain shower 4 to 7 times a week. I welcome rain in the Caribbean: it cools things off. If it's windy, too, then that's a problem.

Paper Diamond voucher receipts MUST be about tips
pcur replied to ggo85's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Starting out with Pellegrino or club soda with breakfast, then one to-go, then something with lunch, then happy hour, by the time I get to dinner after 12 hours, I forget what I had with breakfast. It's not the counting that's difficult, it's the remembering................. -
I have used the ship to convert currency because of the convenience factor. But, before deciding you might want to research the following (which I have done with trips to Europe): Your bank for international ATM locations. For instance Bank of America partners with large banks in other countries, so the ATM fee is waived. See if the cruise terminal has a currency exchange and what the rate is. Set up a travel bank account with a bank that doesn't charge international currency fees, and has ATMs where you are traveling. Again, I go for convenience: I don't want to make a trip to my local bank, or go through the whole currency request process. I don't mind, however looking for ATMs ahead of time. I would especially do this when I was flying into a foreign country, and scouted online where the ATMs were in the airport.

Paper Diamond voucher receipts MUST be about tips
pcur replied to ggo85's topic in Royal Caribbean International
This is such a moot point to me, because I tip in cash when I order my vouchered drinks. I start off the day with enough tip money for my 6 beverages, and when the money is gone, the vouchers have been used. I've been doing this since they first started the vouchers.
