  1. Thank you! Flightease is usually cheaper for the one way Transatlantic flights but we do shop around. We enjoy the flexibility of snagging the flight and adjusting if prices go down before final payment.
  2. Thanks. Maybe I was getting confused with Royal. I thought you could browse specific voyages on HAL. My cruise is almost a year out, so I have to wait. I was looking at closer dates to just get a feel for what the prices might be when they do come available. I'll try the Princess route.
  3. Thank you for checking. It's a closer date. Can you provide a screen shot of where the option to view flight quotes is? This is not a booking I have, I'm just browsing.
  4. I can never seem to get to browse flightease quotes when using the Chrome browser on my mobile phone. Is there a trick to get to it while browsing for cruises on Android?
  5. The crew appreciation hits the onboard account each day. It will come out of the onboard credit.
  6. Can someone provide the latest link to the agency transfer form for HAL?
  7. Thanks everyone. I forgot about getting points based on spending, so that could delay them from immediately posting at end of voyage. We just got off Saturday, so should be soon.
  8. How long after cruise do Mariner points update online?
  9. Yes, the Medical Center told us when you get off if during the isolation, you have to follow the "Rule of the Land". So that's Italy's rules.
  10. I'm glad my DH's isolation was over the day before debarkation and that we got off in Barcelona. Sorry about your delay. I heard there were 4 Covid people on the ship, but sounds like there were more. I know they had 4 verandah cabins designated for isolation (we got one when we asked to be moved from our booked inside cabin), but that doesn't mean there are tons more cases where people just remained in their original cabins.
  11. We just got off the Nieuw Statendam Transatlantic. There was dancing on wood floors in the Ocean Bar to a live ship band, Rolling Stone Rock Room - live, BB Kings live, and Billboard - piano due (not sure if it was wood in Billboard). Plenty of chances for dancing. BB Kings also had Latin dance parties too. Such a lively group at the Latin times.
  12. We booked onboard last week on the Transatlantic due to the generous OBC perks for booking onboard ($250 for the 14 days TA). Has anyone moved one of these to an agent and did the OBC stay intact? HAL future cruise consultants onboard said onboard booking incentives would stay, but just want to hear in from the experts on this forum. They said you have 60 days to move it.
  13. Thank you! He's fine now and luckily we ended up enjoying the rest of the trip. I'm still fine, but testing every couple days to make sure I didn't get it.
  14. I'm living this right now. Hubby was isolated for 4 days during the Transatlantic on NS last week. We are filing with our trip insurance for reimbursement under trip interruption. When they reimburse for isolation, do they base the payment on the sick passenger or also spouse? The cruise is messed up for both, but not sure who they do it. I was told the FCC is based on both people, but I'm not working on that yet.
  15. We were on the cruise with you and got off on Saturday in BCN. Hubby fell ill on Saturday in Ponta Delgada and went to ship doc on Monday morning and tested positive. They also tested me and I was negative. We had brought home tests so we knew the result before going. They said isolation for 6 days from symptom onset. So that said lockdown until Friday. They do not retest, as patients often test positive far longer that they are sick. Nurse called cabin Friday morning around 7AM to ask how he was feeling and if symptoms have improved. He said yes as he felt fine since Wednesday. They released him and he was able to get off ship to visit Alicante. There was no question about disembarking in BCN I guess because he had been marked recovered on Friday.
  16. We just got off the April 8th Transatlantic crossing to Barcelona this morning. We followed our original itinerary to the minute and as mentioned sailed at full speed 20-21 knots when needed. The captain was a wonderful communicator and would have let us know if there was any problem. Presumably the issue from the April 1 or prior sailing was fixed albeit it may be a temporary fix. He gave us daily reports that explained everything about speeds needed, tugs, winds and why we docked there way we did. He was great. Loved the cruise and booked her crossing for next year to Rotterdam.
  17. Sorry, I'm on the NS Transatlantic now and haven't had internet until I got to the ports. There was an azipod issue causing itinerary changes 2 weeks before the crossing on April 8th. One was not working. Initial fixes failed, but an azipod specialist was on the cruise the week before the crossing trying to get it fixed. It must have been fixed because we've made it without issues. Many of us were worried about the issue prior to the crossing and while researching azipod issues, I found this thread. I was very surprised noone was talking about the NS issues. The Facebook group for the cruise two weeks prior to the crossing talked about it
  18. Thank you. It turns out the app came back up last night. I'm confused about the "activate" part once onboard. Once I connect to ship's wifi, it should work?
  19. Thank you. Is it down right now? I can't log in. It just spins and eventually says Error fetching.
  20. We won't have internet on our cruise. In order for DH and me to communicate by text through Navigator, do we each need separate logins?
  21. It's interesting this thread went for 20 pages, and noone has discussed the issues the Nieuw Statendam had last week with the azipod. She is scheduled for her Transatlantic Crossing this Saturday. Does anyone have any detailed information on her current status and how it may affect our crossing?
  22. I believe for Anytime Dining, you can't reserve until you are on board.
