Usually 3. On our eastbound TA on Jewel April 2022, formal days 2, 7 or 9 (there was some confusion and they posted it 2x!), and 12. It was a 14 nt. Anthem, 12 nt wb, it was days 2, 7, 10. We also had smart casual and casual. Hkoe this helps.
I guess what I'm saying formal night in the dining room isn't essential but if that is what you want then do it. Understand that the day might change after you plan. On transatlantic cruises, since it's not like weekly cruises which repeat almost exactly the same each week. This is a cruise that's only once a year. Each TA is different so none of us can tell you with any certainty which night will be 2nd formal night.
Just enjoy your cruise and your friends. We've done several TAs and spent 35 nts (2 cruises actually) sailing around Australia. Long cruises are great.
In many countries in Europe loser pays costs for winner. In 0the US that only happens in limited circumstances. Probably not in this case. Remember this attorney is looking for a big payout, hopefullywithout trial. Signed up the plaintiffs early on before the responsible party pled guilty or video was made available or before they went onboard and saw the actual situation. Costs so far are filing fees. Not sure if they've actually hired an expert or if they have one on staff since they routinely sue cruise ships.
These lawyers say no fee/costs unless we win in their engagement agreement. The question is why the parents, where the mother is supposedly an attorney, is even doing this. She should know better. There is a video showing what happened. They've must have been convinced that there would not be a trial and that Royal would just pay them some big money. Not likely to happen.
Btw many hotels are now only do service every other day. That I don't like. I can live with once a day and I know I can still get something I need if I call.
Back to the topic. Lawyer is from Winkleman (sp?) firm which actively seeks clients who the firm thinks has a claim against a cruise line. No fee unless they recover for client. There's at least one other firm in Florida who runs after these types of cases.
The case isn't exactly reopened. The trial court dismissed. Parents appealed and appellate court said it should go to a jury to determine if Royal's design was negligent in it's design and did it contribute to the child's falling. Even if the jury found some negligence on Royal's design, and I don't think it's design contributed to what happened, the step grandparent's negligence could still be found to be more responsible and the cause of the child's death. If you watch the video you wonder why he held the child out of a window 11 decks up.
From Heathrow to central London we used Meadway for about £58. Met us as we exited customs, actually by WH Smith, with our luggage and drove us to our hotel in Grosvenor Square area. Driver had a sign with our name. Easy to find him. After a long flt well worth it.
I think so but not sure. I heard that when they brought a ship from China to Australia they had to do a mamor cleaning to remove smoke smell and residue.
Great!
Btw setting off fireworks onboard could be dangerous. Organized fireworks are usually set off in an empty field or somewhere with a lot of space. It might have been nice if they were off shore of a fireworks display but that isn't always possible. We were on the Brilliance December 2018 and because of a delay leaving Tampa we ended up being off Cancun New Year's eve and were able to watch their fireworks. Very nice but not planned.
Nothing yet for Santa Barbara or Astoria, Oregon. Don't know why. I do see something, at least on the app, with an excursion in San Diego with a drop off at the airport.
