We're on Radiance and ate there last night. Love it. This cruise is 16 nts so definitely had time for a leisurely evening. Usually eat there once on longer cruises.
We are on Radiance. Actually the cruise last week we had 9660, aft facing balcony. Our favorite location. Bigger cabin, bigger balcony which has a table, 2 regular chairs and 2 lounge chairs. Partly shaded. Had to move and miss the aft balcony.
Just checked. On Jewel we also had 9660. On Brilliance 8672; daughter had 8172. No complaints.
We're on Radiance Pacific Coast, 8 nts. Will stay on the 16 nt Panama Canal. Asked a chef last night. He says he has 15 menus. Only 1 will repeat. I assume certain items will repeat thoigh, like the Caesar salad.
Were on a cruise within the past year and told no. Don't recall which ship. Sent dh to guest services and he came back without cash. Not critical. I think the fee for the ATM onboard is higher than I want to pay.
For those onboard who is captain and who is cruise director? We board 9/29 and stay on for the Canal transit and I think the captain should be changing. Thanks.
Bring your wine onboard in your carryon. 1 per person. If it's in your checked luggage the bag not be delivered to you and you'll have to go and claim it. I don’t know much about the Texas stamp except that our c&a wine wasn't delivered until the next day because of Texas law.
Where are the ships sailing from? Radiance is in Seward, not Vancouver, Seattle, or elsewhere. From a map that was posted it looks like you would sail directly into the storm. Of course I'm not a meteorologist or a sailor.
Radiance isn't the only ship stuck because of bad weather. Norwegian Escape is anchored off of Staten Island. At least in Seward you can walk off and on. Btw the draining of water in the Solarium pool is because the floor around the pool is tile which would be quite slippery if water came out of the pool in rough weather.
The weather is not Royal's fault. And you don't want to be sailing through those winds. Would you really want to sail your itinerary in what is forecast. This has nothing to do with repairs. Make the best of it.
