We're cruising in late September and will find out. And as to hotels this will be our 2nd time in less than a month where we're in a hotel more than 2 nts.
On our b2bs there was a letter in our cabin a couple of days before the end and a meeting the day before. Sometimes walk off and back on. You do have to "sign" out with old card so the old account is cleared ans then with your new card sign in for new cruise. If you want to leave the ship to go into the port they'll give you an in transit form so you can go right to the security line and reboard the ship. You'll have complete access to your cabin, even before new passengers can access their cabins. Sometimes there's a lunch for b2b passengers in the mdr. I also stop by guest services early in the first cruise to confirm they have us on b2b list. They always do. Enjoy.
Understand if you bought something onboard Royal will report it to customs. Bought a ring on board. Declared it but still had lots of questions from customs. They assumed if we bought 1 thing must have bought more. Didn't except little stuff for the kids. And oh yes, and way under limit for 1 person let alone for 2!
Sailed on Liberty out of Galveston last August. As D+ we get 2 bottles usually are delivered to the stateroom before we arrive. On that cruise it was explained that because of Texas rules no wine delivered until next day.
When you first meet your cabin attendant ask for what you'll need, i.e. extra towels each day, ice, etc. Also someone posted that on the app there's a place to request things like towels. In the past the cabin attendant left his card with a phone number or I've just called housekeeping (number on phone) when I needed something.
Agree. We eat at Chef's Table. I have a fish allergy (all fish) and dh doesn’t eat shell fish or meat. We make sure to discuss it with them at least 1 day in advance. Neverca problem.
POSH=port out starboard home based on sailing from UK. An old tradition but that was before air-conditioning. If the weather is cool heading wb then follow the POSH suggestion.
Really strange that you heard that noise. On Radiance there's a door that closes and no noise. Did it on Jewel NYE when there's lots going on and don't recall any noise.
Do you understand that it's more than an hour car trip from port to Ben Gurion airport? Before you get to airline counter to check your luggage Israeli security scans all the luggage and I recall them checking my passport, then go to airline counter to check luggage. Then you go to security line that you are familiar with, then head to gate. An 11:30 flight is cutting it close. I also assume that there might be some customs or immigration at the port, which takes time.
