  1. @Ozark_Kid Kenzie is adorable! Thank you for the photos and videos. A day brightener, for sure! MJ🙎🏻‍♀️
  2. @BonTexasNY and @DaniDanielle Thinking of both of you as you are caring about loved ones whose health has been impacted recently. Hoping that both your daughter and Charlie will soon be having better days. When our loved ones feel well,we feel better too. Wishing all who post here are having good days also. MJ🙎🏻‍♀️
  3. @stuckintexas Please consider consulting with a registered nutritionist to give your DH and you insights into diet regarding his type2diabeties. Such advice can help him with daily food choices as well as coping with food on your upcoming cruise. MJ🙎🏻‍♀️
  4. Dani-So glad you had a get together with your friends! I happened to think about you today and was wondering if things had gotten more “normal” in your area. As always, wishing you and your hubby comfort and peace. MJ🙎🏻‍♀️
  5. @bar1068 An alternative to the Comfort Inn is a Holiday Inn Express near the port. The rooms are small, but doable for an overnight stay. You may want to check the web site though as we stayed there about ten years ago. MJ🙎🏻‍♀️
  6. The Op states that they feel intimidated about a NYC departure and it has been 40 years since being in the City. No way would I suggest getting into the City from either LGA or JFK by subway. Using a cab or car and driver -Carmel car service is one-is the safer way to get into the City. I do agree with other posters thatOP should get into NYC at least a day before going non the cruise. MJ.
  7. @DaniDanielle Hoping the Drs at the ER can help your Charlie diagnose and take care of his arm and leg that are giving him trouble. Waiting for news is the difficult part. Wishing you both some rest tonight. MJ🙋🏻‍♀️
  8. @lenquixote66 Unfortunately, we have realized this with some of our doctors. The way medical practice has changed with large hospital corporations dictating protocols to physicians’ practices ,a number of doctors that we know of are choosing early retirement. During our last check up with our family doctor, he was talking about how his practice has changed since it is now part of a large NY hospital organization. One thing that disturbs him is the amount of time allotted to each patient visit- limiting time to ten- fifteen minutes. For those of us who remember doctors making house calls, the new way of medicine is an adjustment if not one that is disturbing for those who recall the medical attention given to patients in the not too distant past. MJ🙎🏻‍♀️
  9. Bethany, will you post here about your DC trip? I went there on a three day trip with my HS class as a Junior in 1969 (!). Over the years,my DH and I made several trips visiting friends who lived in DC and nearby Virginia. We attended a wedding in the church where JFK’s funeral Mass was held with a reception following at the St Regis. It was in mid July and the heat/humidity was challenging. Planning a trip in the Spring is a good decision- weather wise at least. Wishing you safe and enjoyable travels. MJ🙎🏻‍♀️
  10. @Ozark_Kid John-Thank you for posting photos of such sweetness! Your grandchildren must lift your spirits and brighten your days. Wishing you comfort and peace. MJ🙋🏻‍♀️
  11. Dani- So very sorry that your dear friend had a stroke. I am hoping that PT and the stay at the rehab center will help him greatly toward a good recovery. I am certain that the care and concern that both you and.your DH give him will aid his recovery. Wishing blessings for him and you and DH. MJ🙋🏻‍♀️
  12. So many pages to read here! Happy events- anniversaries, a new born grandson, travels to interesting places. Then some who are dealing with illness, pain and discomfort. I am sending congratulations to those having happy events in their lives and my sympathy to those dealing with illness and pain. Always grateful to Dani for starting this thread as it is a pleasure to read posts here. Just thinking,it all started with someone posting about cleaning a refrigerator! Wishing all posting here good days. Take care all- MJ🙎🏻‍♀️
  13. @h20skibum Just checked that post you mentioned. It was locked , then quickly went poof. It was an interesting post, for sure. My DH and I are Platinum level on Princess , having taken about 15 cruises with them. We enjoyed every one of them and met some very fine people on each cruise. I think you will enjoy the cruise you selected, especially as it is an inaugural cruise. MJ🙎🏻‍♀️
  14. Well, your photos are definitely not indicating that the ship is sailing at capacity Just curious. I assume you are an early riser or extremely patient to wait until there aren’t any people in your photos. .MJ🙎🏻‍♀️
  15. How are you getting photos of the ship, Cocoa Cay and Nassau areas without people in the photos? Thanks- MJ🙎🏻‍♀️
  16. Hoping W’s Mom is doing well. Prayers do help. MJ🙋🏻‍♀️
  17. Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. The amount of cash you take with you depends on your tipping habits, spending for extras and a consideration of having emergency funds. YMMV MJ🙎🏻‍♀️
  18. Thank you Wildra for another fun and informative review! I am sending up a prayer for continued blessings for you, W and all your family. Take care MJ🙋🏻‍♀️
  19. @island lady Concerning that particular cabin for your cruise-here’s a thought. If you just were starting that cruise and you hadn’t heard about the death, would you be wary of being in that cabin? Surely not. When going on a cruise or staying in a hotel, there is always a chance that a former occupant has passed away in that cabin/room. No way to know unless you were privy to some information. Usually that is not the case though. There will be others staying in that cabin before you embark on the ship again. If I were you , I wouldn’t think about it too much and enjoy the cruise. Or, perhaps you could call RCCL and ask for a another cabin or an upgrade. MJ 🙋🏻‍♀️
  20. Snowy day here on Eastern LI. Schools are closed. The plow just went up and down the street. Our local pharmacy called about a delivery that was scheduled for today but has been cancelled. Will deliver tomorrow. Totally understand. But, Amazon just made a delivery. Totally unnecessary given the snow in the driveway and front walk. I feel sorry for the Amazon drivers being sent out in these conditions. Hoping everyone experiencing the storm is safe and warm. Wishing everyone a good day. MJ🙋🏻‍♀️
  21. Glad for those rooting for the Chiefs, particularly @Sea Dog Greg. I was rooting for the 49ers by default as I really wanted the Lions to be in the SB as they had a good season and they were considered to be underdogs. We watched the 2nd half and thought Mahomes and team would pull out a touchdown in OT. I am not sure why the 49ers didn’t have better coverage of the end zone in that final play. But in the end one team would win and the other team would loose. Mahomes will continue to be a formidable player who the other teams will have to deal with next season. As for commercials- Nothing stellar seems to have gotten my attention. I did think about the commercials for AI and Scientology. Different for sure. State Farm was pretty good with Schwartzenager and DeVito focusing on the accents, but I hope they keep the young fellow who has been doing their commercials for awhile. Another commercial that had a good amount of airtime was Temu. A younger friend told me that they are becoming competitors for Amazon and are based in China. Anyone know about this company? Wishing all posting here a good Monday. Hoping those with storm predictions do not have much of the white stuff to deal with tomorrow. Long Island may get an inch or two. It is Winter though. Hoping those with cruise plans to escape the Winter have safe travels and enjoyable vacations! Have a good day all! MJ🙋🏻‍♀️
  22. @island lady Safe travels home today. Thank you for your posts and photos of your cruise journey. You documented so many places I never thought of visiting. Hoping some other travelers will post about the continuing cruise adventure. MJ🙋🏻‍♀️
