We embark in Mumbai where it will be warm. I think the Pool Grill will work for us too. If only we can drop off the hand luggage. We are on Deck1 but not in the super duper cabins. 😂
I expect so. But it's the one in MVJ right now. Annoying. Can you update the price of a glass of Drappier champagne please? Actually just saw they are no longer offering it by 15 cl glass. Nice enhancement. 😠
Over planning tips into the overpacking issue. I'm the one who takes along the pharmacy. Because you never know what you might need quickly and not have to find an appropriate shop onshore. Husband laughs at what I take. Guess who is the one always asking 'by chance did you bring some .....'. Yep. In that bag there.
I read they only evacuated two deck levels and impacted passengers have been accomodated elsewhere. Fire was out before land fire crews arrived. Investigating the cause but it started in a passenger cabin.
Smoke is extremely destructive and blackens everything with a greasy film. Will take a bit of cleaning and I'd expect impacted passengers would receive free laundry.
I think given that Oz and NZ only started up cruising just a couple of months ago after so long because of Covid that they all need a bit of slack. The world is experiencing supply and staffing issues and cruises are no different. And Oz and NZ are extremely cautious right now.
Oh there are many comments on Viking boards. Won’t be hard to find. One has Wellington in the title the other is Orion. We were on Orion in Alaska on its maiden voyage. Love the ship. Food was good. Pre Covid. Going on Mars in May through India Egypt and Israel. Can’t wait.
Totally agree it's relevant. And helps me plan what to take but I don't think Mars have the combo so that helps me. My experience is that I wouldn't use them but go searching for the singles or make sure I didn't use the dryer function.
Likely ate from a tourist spot on Las Ramblas or out on the Marina area which I agree are pretty awful if you strike one. But get off the main drag and into the little piazzas for the good food.
We had the best handmade pasta ever in the Gothic Quarter. Not normally a pasta eater but we had the first plate then immediately ordered a second. It was in a small courtyard just off the main tourist ones.
I really dislike the combo machines. They take hours to dry and never really remove a sense of dampness in the clothes. I had one and refused to get another. Think it's a bad move. I was thinking of either washing items in the stateroom then a quick trip to a dryer or washing in the machine and hang drying in the room depending on the items. Combining both will prolong the entire process.
We have just had to get Visas for India and Saudi Arabia. Sadly not a world cruise 🥹. We applied directly through their Governments websites. We don't use a third party unless compelled to.
