So sad for some towns . I watched a film on YouTube called "Rotherham At Christmas 2022 " (Gimbal TV ) the high street in the middle of December is totally dead . That was filmed in the middle of December 🙁

What strange times we live in ? This time of year up and down the UK we have got towns and city's hoping and praying that their Christmas markets bring in much needed revenue for their businesses. What's Lincoln decide to do? Scrap theirs as too many people go to their Christmas market 🤔

Credit where it's due ,EMA was closed due to snow on runway at 10 am this morning . Just watched on flight radar a jet 2 take off at 11.29 am .

Lapland's the same, my sis in law goes out there often and the airports are open . Rule of thumb they get snow often ,those countries have more equipment to deal with that . We simply don't have enough bad weather to have the same set up as other countries . I had a late uncle who lived in Canada and remember him saying they could get snowed in for a week, so even though the airport was open ,he was going nowhere .

Don't blame him 😉

Mrs K reads them out to me .I think the favourite is "other countries don't stop for snow" Err yes they do and planes get tipped because of it (see 44 seconds ) into film below .

For all of us stopping in cos it's cold here''s an update from me . Listening to Greatest Hits Radio ,snug with a cuppa .. They keeping giving out weather warnings ,Some parts of the UK could tip -11.c Anyone living down south are warned ..Stay in do not travel unless urgent . Anyone up north if going out take a coat with you . I used to predict snowy bad weather ,until someone told me I had bought a Snow Globe and not a crystal ball . Just finished a spot of DIY (Destroy it yourself ) using some draught seal tape for doors and windows .Mrs K was not impressed with her Advent calendar when I had finished with it .😉 Take care out there 🙂

Morning -4 here as well with -6 chill. Went for a romp around Cherry lane garden centre to see their Christmas display . Just as good I had the bank card and not Mrs K or we would have been the proud owners of at least half a dozen new Christmas trees and endless decorations . I get nervous when I hear the words " Look at this ,,Thats lovely " Have a good day 🙂

Good morning everyone it's -2.c here today . Love this month, at long last I can go out to the shops and buy my Easter eggs . Does anyone have a festive drink they like ? Going back to my pub days I was a creature of habit and liked to stick to my pint of bitter . As it was coming up towards Christmas and the landlord had put a notice up that read "Christmas Cocktails Now Served Here " Not too sure I asked for one that had plenty of vodka in it ,didn't smell too bad and a reasonable body about it and a bit lively . The landlord then shouted into the back .. "Rita !! There's a guy out front here asking for you .😉 Have a good day/weekend 🙂
