  1. Please come round NOW to clear up the coffee splattered over screen and desk!!!!🤣😃🙃 Bring tissues... you've made me cry!
  2. Well, I have never seen that one before!!!! They'll be taking them into the theatre soon☺️ Ridiculous indeed.
  3. So far as I am aware, that is the case on P and O. I have never known them to reduce after booking. Someone will say if I am wrong. As said above, we never look once we have booked'
  4. Out of the two definitely balcony, especially in the Caribbean. For me it would be well worth the extra.
  5. Best wishes for a speedy outcome from me too. Big advancements are being made. Take care and every good wish from a 16 year survivor xx
  6. Here we go again!! This time I slept for an hour or so but had a dream that I had to guard a house because there was a gunman inside. People I know were in the dream too! I got up and looked out the window just as a Police Car went slowly by. Frightened the life out of me😃 Where did all that come from? Its a shame as I am taking all the family for a Sunday roast at a well recommended pub/restaurant in West Malling, Kent, tomorrow and particularly wanted to be lively and awake. I plan to frighten them all and wear a dress, which I haven't done for at least 25 years (until a few weeks ago).. the grandchildren have only ever seen me in trousers and tops or trouser suits. I have also got some new bling... two gold pearl walking sticks!!!!🤣
  7. Have you tried his wine ? It's quite good We were surprised and bought more . On another subject: Re BP.. another White Coat person here. Mine shoots up as soon as I walk in the door of a Hospital, Clinic, Dentist or the like. I don't feel that I am anxious but up it shoots!
  8. I had this problem. I think most cruise lines are saying they are now only allowed so many chairs or scooters for safety reasons. I went on one major cruise line who let me take my scooter after filling in the Welfare Form with no problem. Next time I booked with them I filled in the form a few months later, not realising there could be a problem. We were shocked when they said no. We had paid up so had no choice but to pay £230 to hire the motorised chair. When we got to the terminal it was laughable as my scooter was tiny, when folded, compared to the chair. The chair was massive. We put my tiny scooter beside the chair and everyone agreed. Finally an officer came and said I could take it on on this occasion only. We lost £230 over that. I'm in a mini suite on Norwegian soon and I can take it on then, presumably they haven't reached their allowed numbers yet. The moral now is to check before paying out. ps as an aside.. Although, like you, I don't need the scooter or a chair in the cabin or on short walks, I have been told I must have assisted evacuation and help in an emergency. My adrenaline would make sure I was first at the lifeboat!
  9. A few days ago I saw something 'unmentionable' which I didn't post as I feared retribution and being outcast. Then yesterday I saw something even more 'unmentionable' so I bought meself a tin 'at. I'm not scared!!!😇🙃 I had an e mail from a Hotel nr Gatwick saying book now for Christmas Parties and Christmas Packages. THEN today I received a notification from a big Indian Restaurant nearby asking for bookings for a George Michael Tribute on New Years Eve!!!!!!! I'm off......
  10. I'm up Got a few in. The thing is I don't lay awake worrying. It's just my head hits the pillow and my brain says "Wake up!" Very odd 🙃
  11. Goodnight. Just off to see if I can get some sleep. I feel really wide awake, in fact better than when I wake up after sleep. I did notice a couple of others on here in the middle of the night, having the same trouble. Even on a bad night I usually manage a few hours, but last night... absolutely nothing!!! I
  12. I used to cook all day when the family or friends were coming then one day that all changed. They told me not to do anything. When they arrived they brought the other table in from the other room, all sat down then decided what everyone wanted from the takeaway. Then the boys took off to get it. It was chaos, some wanted Indian, some Chinese and some fish and chips. I was a bit mortified and felt guilty at first but decided I couldn't do anything about it. After the meal out come the stupid silly games and we laughed ourselves silly. Later on the instructions of their mum the grandchildren cleared away and replaced the table. It was magic!! We all enjoyed it so much we now do it every 4 - 6 weeks or so. Mad chaos but great fun🤣
  13. Since I moved from that area the girls from my 'Tangent' Club come down to visit in the evenings. Last time they offered to all bring a plate but I had already organised sandwich platters, cheese board, salad, and desserts etc from the local Morrisons. OH picked them up and hey presto instant buffet which everyone enjoyed. Morrisons sandwich platters are lovely as are the ones from M and S. Even if I was 100% mobile now I think I would do the same. No hassle🤣
  14. Us too. It's just not the same waiting until breakfast!
  15. Apologies if this has been asked many times before but have found two conflicting websites, one says yes, one says no. Rather get it correctly from other passengers. Are there in cabin tea/coffee making facilities on Norwegian Dawn. Thanks
  16. So sorry. Heartbreaking news. Our family has some empathy with you here. Stay strong. Come and see us when you feel ready xx
  17. Deck 9 definitely. We were on that deck. The conservatory was nice and no passing passengers!
  18. Strange, my good pal and I were only talking about this last night. Mine were teenagers first then hers followed and we helped each other out. I definitely would not want to deal with teenagers now. It was bad enough then, and ours weren't too bad
  19. I don't know if fellow travellers next to us follow our leave or if it's general etiquette, but when we have had a table for two very close to another we have a chat between courses, but not while either table is actually eating. That has worked very well.
  20. If I get a rocket then so be it!!! It's S***sure. I only had surgery 6 weeks or so ago. With 5 months left on the policy it was an extra £84. I was expecting refusal. With other historical problems our insurance is into four figures but we knew it would be.
  21. We thought about that too but it was about £320, with parking. In the end we booked the Aegus Bowl Hilton and parking at the port. Still hundreds but that's the way it is going. I remember, some years ago, West Quay PI was £32 for our night before cruising!!!
  22. Anyone up? 😃 Today, having been surprised at how little my insurance had gone up after vascular surgery (I thought I would be refused), we saw a cruise with a great itinery of Round Britain, then Amsterdam, Brussels, and Paris, so we booked it. We knew the hotel for the night before would be a bit pricey as its only 8 weeks away but we were shocked, prices were in the hundreds. even the Premier Inn was £187 and others a lot lot more. My first thought was Cowes Week which shoves prices up but it isn't. Later OH said he had found out that Arvia, Anthem of the Seas, and our NCL ship are all in on the same day so that must be 10,000 or more passengers and probably a good percentage will stay in Southampton the day before. No wonder the place gets gridlocked.
  23. Perhaps it's just me, but the qualifying for the Grand Prix is on TV and it said one driver was 48/1000ths of a second faster than another. How on earth have they managed to calculate that. I can't comprehend that time at all. Actually its a bit scary.
