  1. Back in my 1980's childhood, we didn't have a microwave until I was in high school. So leftover night meant a whole bunch of tiny little pots piled together on the stove, each with a single serving of whatever. My mom had a whole random collection of miniature cookware just for leftovers.
  2. I got a mailer from them with a personalized membership card right after my 25th birthday (a long time ago). I was SO offended. 😆
  3. HEY! So glad I found your review by chance - since it's not on your website, I didn't get a handy notification email this time. Very happy that you did a review, anyway. I always enjoy following along on your adventures!
  4. We sailed on the Dream's first cruise after the shutdown, in September of 2021. Your Dream review was really helpful!
  5. Oh hey!! Glad to see you're back! Congrats on the sweet addition to your family. ♥️
  6. I wonder why everyone's experience is so different? Seems like it would work or it wouldn't.
  7. It would be Western Caribbean; Cozumel, Belize, Roatan.
  8. I really want to book a 2024 Thanksgiving cruise on Regal Princess, but the holiday falls at the very end of the month this year. I have a few work reports I'd need to issue during that week. Not a big deal at all, as long as I can access my work VPN (Cisco) with the wifi package. Has anyone had success doing this on Princess, specifically Regal Princess?
  9. We have cruised both Princess and Carnival this year. First and foremost, the cleanliness and general condition of the ship was FAR better on Princess. Secondly, I appreciate that Princess still has twice-a-day cabin service. The Princess buffet was much better and had many more choices. MDR food was similar for both, although the Princess MDR was nicer with better ambience. This is probably silly to most people, but Princess ships still have real flower arrangements throughout the public venues. I really loved that.
  10. Really? We were on Breeze last week. Facial Recognition was used when we debarked this past Saturday in Galveston. It was fast. I heard that the issues were only due to a disagreement between Princess and the port/customs. I am surprised that it's affecting everyone now, only days later.
  11. No, it was a CA Coastal cruise out of LA. We were in cabin L101 on Discovery Princess. It was windy, but not too bad. We loved it and would definitely book that cabin again.
  12. Nothing. The Rangers are only shown locally on Bally sports, which is a separate streaming service. It's fairly expensive compared to others, so we do not subscribe. The Bally deal is expiring in another year, and everyone in this area is happy to see it go.
  13. I was very surprised and disappointed, since I'd heard good things beforehand. I've sailed on RCL's Adventure and Allure in the past year, which are both older than Breeze, and they were lovely. There's no excuse for Carnival letting it get that way when other lines are able to maintain their ships. I think maybe they are also using cheaper materials/furnishings to start with, and they aren't holding up as well over time.
  14. My guys really like the feature where you can have 4 channels on split screen at once, so they can watch 4 football games at the same time.
  15. Discovery Princess. He enjoyed our Lido deck cabin's proximity to pizza and cookies. Also, our cabin was forward-facing with a huge balcony (but cheaper as it was categorized as "obstructed" due to the metal rail), which was really cool. 😂 He swam in the pool one day and enjoyed that. He didn't miss the slides.
  16. We switched to YouTube TV at the beginning of the year. It's so much cheaper than cable. We love it, especially the unlimited cloud storage for recordings. We never have to worry about the DVR being too full and deleting shows anymore. The only channel we really miss is History.
