  1. not made up at all, seen on every cruise. The fact that you didn't notice them shows just how un-important it is.
  2. I agree with you, people have the right to use your personal account as you see fit, however: 1. when you give company news on your personal account, it becomes a de facto business account. 2. You’re right to say what you want on your personal account is in alienable, however, your employer can dismiss you for it; happens often
  3. Clearly you can not - as is evidenced by his current employment status. He was disciplined more than once before he was cut loose.
  4. It doesn’t matter. You can’t espouse your personal political views on the same social media platform that you give official company information. JVF’s downfall was his own doing, and this was t the first time.
  5. Happened automatically, the steward did ask where the kids were going to crash at night, and that was the end of the discussion.
  6. Well as I stated, it hasn’t been a problem, for us. we choose morning service, sofa bed put away, while at dinner sofa bed made back into sleeper configuration.
  7. The only thing I can think of that I have relinquished is the claim for a price drop. Booking group rates with a TA, there are almost never any price drops because your initial fare is so much lower. I email my TA, tell him exactly what I want done, and within a couple hours it’s done, I am fully in control. I have no desire to sit on the phone with customer service, I have far more important things to do. Most anything I need to do, I can do online by myself.
  8. https://www.cruisehive.com/royal-caribbean-cuts-back-on-housekeeping-service/95567 we have run into this situation on 3 different ships since the change. No problem having sofa beds put up in the morning and remade at night.
  9. Finding the right person who has the personality to match your own is certainly the “secret sauce”
  10. Find a TA you can work with that does a lot of group bookings. My cabins are normally $500-$800 cheaper than published rates. They are ALWAYS refundable deposits. add to that fare savings the different perks we get (sometime OBC, sometime specialty dinners or wine, sometimes prepaid gratuity) and I have saved tens of thousands over the last decade. The intangibles of having someone else wait on hold with the cruise line to resolve issues (time is money) just adds more value than I care to calculate. Just to reiterate, I have received all of this, and have relinquished zero tangible control of any of my bookings.
  11. The Royal Caribbean published policy on pullmans and sofa beds states that the steward will, in addition to once daily service, setup and take down convertible bedding as requested.
  12. I could not imagine any reason to move a booking from my TA to the cruise line. I am as big a control freak as can be, and I don’t feel I lose any of that control with my travel agent, and I have come out tens of thousands of dollars ahead.
  13. you beat me to it, I have noticed this lately myself
  14. I don't know what your other options are, your carry on allowance plus whatever may be onboard
  15. You post this as if supply chain issues aren't a real thing
  16. Plus 1; this is the ONLY way I book. Have booked refundable deposits with TA cheaper than non refundable deposits directly with the line (and not just Royal)
  17. Perhaps you had an inclusive fare booked. Celebrity does not give their own Elite members "anytime drink vouchers" they certainly aren't honoring Royal C&A loyalty vouchers. Celebrity loads Captain's Club vouchers on your card that can be used at any bar on Happy Hour evenings only, perhaps those were the vouchers you used.
  18. Celebrity does not utilize a “loyalty drink voucher” system like Royal does, they just have the traditional evening happy hour.
  19. there is a charge for soda from room service: and you can’t use your vouchers (or drink package) on room service.
  20. Financial disclosures have stated the mass majority of Covid credits have been used. Over 50% of fares are first time cruisers, so no FCC at all there. The fact of the matter, as stated earlier, is Royal Is servicing their debt faster than any other line. They are doing something right. cheers
  21. SEC filings show record bookings and on board spend at all time highs. Tell me where my facts are wrong. Royal charges what the market will bear, that is the business model, it’s successful. What fact do you find incorrect.
