  1. You booked the cruise with those requirements. If you wish to go on a normal vacation you should have waited. I love Bermuda. Been going every year. Sometimes twice a year. I did not book a Bermuda sailing this year. You did not have to either. I know that repo cruise was probably a good deal. I did a similiar one on Summit from Bayonne to San Juan. Bermuda, Charleston, Miami, Aruba and Curaçao. The price was so low and great itinerary. You had a choice so it is what it is.
  2. What they did this summer was change the stops around and put Bermuda after Newport and Charleston on day 6. The problem with that is because there were other ships there on day 3 they had to tender in Bermuda. That is a cluster f. You can tell from that Celebrity does not really care about passengers. Hopefully Bermuda will have changed their requirements by May.
  3. On the transatlantic say it is a 12 day sailing for example they would have had to test before embarkation then because that was more than fours days from arriving in Bermuda they would have to have had had an additional covid test onboard before arriving Bermuda and the ships medical staff would be required to do the testing. So you can see why the cruise line would not want the hassle and is canceling the stop. That does not apply to the Oct 15 sailing.
  4. I am just saying it does not matter whether you want to stop there are not stop there or others want to stop there. They have been stopping there all summer and there is no reason for them to not stop unlike the transatlantics. So based on on precident they will stop there. But you never know.
  5. Whoever he is I appreciate the speedtest he did that was passed on.
  6. They are canceling sailings where they would have to administer an onboard test. An expense for them. They have been sailing to Bermuda all summer. Also there are probably passenger who want to do Bermuda. It is not all about you.
  7. Pompano Bay or the Reefs. Those would be easier to get to from the Dockyard.
  8. Not likely to happen. There is reason to remove it from transatlantics but not from that sailing.
  9. Okay but I don't care. This thread does not apply to to you.
  10. I have had the electricity out for a week or two several times. Still had internet though. Cell service......Water I do keep bottles for emergencies but that never went out. But of course it sucks if the electricity goes out. Who said otherwise?
  11. Don't count on them dropping the requirements. Those transatlantics are a drop in the bucket compared to the regular weekly Bermuda sailings. Also the current Bermuda government is pretty tone death and they were elected in a landslide. Probably the next chance for a change is if the leading partys leadership is changed in October.
  12. Today Celebrity started dropping Bermuda as a port on their transatlantics.
  13. Maybe for you it is a stretch. We did not always have electricity. Internet has become a necessity. I have gone a few days without internet and it sucked.
  14. I do believe that todays Apple announcement is only the beginning.
  15. Celebrity's price for internet is not fair so that they can pump up the value of the all included fares. The same interent service on Royal ships cost less. Very scammy. Will be interesting to see if Royal keeps their prices the same since it is all ala carte.
  16. That speed is moderate, (I get 480mbps at home) Latency is bad, 229 ms. my latency at home is 7ms. Of course it will be a big improvemnt over the current service.
  17. I am not saying you can't find real Cuban cigars at other than La Casa Del Habano. I think though since Cuban cigars are not sold in the US it may be difficult for US cruisers to determine. If anyone knows any reputable sellers in Aruba or Curaçao other than La Casa they should step up.
  18. I don't disagree. I am only answering the question of how thay have the right. It appears that NCL is canceling the Bermuda stop on transatlantics and I would not be surprised if Bermuda is canceled on the other cruise lines with transatlantic itineraries with a stop there. They will have to live with any repercussions from their requirements.
  19. Your reply was good but from what I recall Uneamie posted that the cruise was booked for May 2023. The rules could and based on past history probably will change again before then.
  20. Soverign governements control who enters their courntry and territorial waters. Bermuda has the right to decide and set requirements just like the United States has requirements and controls who can enter the US. None can embark on a ship or airline to the US who does not meet US requirements. The US requirement includes a travel authorization. Some countries only require passports. Others also require visas. Some have an electronic travel authorization document. The airlines or cruise lines won't let you board without the required documents. It is not about you. If you can't understand that then perhaps you should not travel internationally.
  21. Plus you will have to wait in line with the others suspected of having prohibited items. Someone in our group packed a steamer and i went with her to the naughty room. That was 45 minutes wasted. They don’t search a passengers bag until they are there to observe. Then they look through the whole bag. They took the steamer and gave her a receipt. That all takes time.
  22. When I did not get mine one cruise I was told by the Captain Clubs hostess blamed it on the cabin attendent. That they are supposed to deliver it. I don't know if that was the truth though.
  23. I just read some of the Tuk Tuk reviews and they were all good. Something they mention to consider is that the TuK Tuk can go places that taxis and buses can not go, that could only otherwise be done on foot or pedal bicycle.
