  1. Thanks , i didnt realize you could use a credit card now. So does the system bill your credit card every time you tap in and then out? And does it still track your daily use to stop charging when you reach the max for that day?
  2. Thanks. Im looking at all routes. Seems a lot of cruisers took advantage of this offer and today the offer for neptune has gone up by $1100 pp cdn.
  3. 3379 pp cdn for neptune which included tips for 25 days was impossible to pass up
  4. Couldnt say no. Now to mortgage my property to pay for airfare. Its rediculous high
  5. Yes. I noticed that the TA you were referring to was offering those prices at same time i saw them when signed in to my account
  6. In 2016 we used an opal card and kept replenishing it from our bank account/credit card. Found it super easy
  7. I just learned that this price was a private fare sent to some mariners. So not everyone will see it when signed in. Sorry for the confusion. Just trying to help
  8. You are correct , i signed into US site and no discount. On cdn site it is reduced and I called Hal and confirmed the prices and availability
  9. If you sign in with your mariner number it will show you the prices. Example the neptune suite is at $3339 cdn per person I called Hal and confirmed the prices
  10. It is also listed as reduced on major US TA site. It is shown on HAL site as Mariner Society pricing
  11. Just a heads up on the current 7 day sale that includes crew appreciation. I have been monitoring the Noordam 25 day sailing from Sydney to Vancouver on April 6-30, 2024. The “cruise only “ which includes crew appreciation is drastically reduced for all categories of cabins. Prices in Canadian dollars range from $1039 per person for an inside to $3339 per person for Neptune suite. In case anyone was considering this itinerary
  12. Hopefully their pricing will come down a little. Some of their cruises are outrageously high compared to same cruise in 2023. Fingers crossed
  13. Seems like a lot of people contemplating leaving Celebrity. Have any migrated over to their destine cruise line forums to introduce yourselves and check how those folks are faring with their own cruise line changes. You might be surprised .
  14. Did your friend get an email advising of the sailings or did he randomly do a mock booking for all those cruises and discover they were only $100. Pp?
  15. One advantage is that on the next night you eat in mdr , they know which table you sat at and who your servers were. Many cruisers will tell the hostess that they want the same table they had last night. He/she then punches in your cabin number and voila.
  16. Interesting how some on cruises are concerned about what other guests may be wearing. Do you also question what others wear when you go on a land based hotel vacation or weekend getaway ?
  17. I rounded it off to two years, i believe the actual time was 15 to 18 months. Still a long time with little revenue coming in. Here is a link that gives all the dates of activity or lack thereof during the pandemic. https://www.google.ca/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&ved=2ahUKEwj8vpry6uyAAxXemIkEHZCVBuUQFnoECBYQAQ&url=https%3A%2F%2Fcruiseradio.net%2Ftimeline-2020-cruise-ship-industry-shutdown%2F&usg=AOvVaw2f4HkehWIjZZMp8bzWvtP0&opi=89978449
