  1. We honestly did not see any difference in the condition of the room compared to before. They just didnt do a complete vacuum twice a day
  2. Just finished sailing on equinox then silhouette and then Edge. I signed the go green email. I can confirm that our cabin was fully cleaned throughout once each day in the morning. In the evening , the attendant again serviced the room by emptying the garbage, replacing towels if on the floor, closed curtains, placed the daily on the bed and chocolates on the pillow. I asked him about the new procedures, and he explained that since I/we opted for the go green service, the only thing he did not do in the evening was a second complete cleaning of the cabin. So yes it is being implemented on Celebrity as well
  3. Over the 10 days, i tried the crab crusted flounder, steak dianne, beef bourguignon, NY steak. All were exceptional
  4. Barwick Cruiser, my wife and I were on this cruise as well. We 100% agree with everything you posted. We are seasoned cruisers on multiple lines and several with Celebrity. We had a fantastic cruise in all respects and only complaint is that we enjoyed the food too much and now our waistline is suffering. Lol
  5. Current sailing of Edge has 2800 passengers
  6. On the silhouette now BCC comped. I have no drink package for the cruise. While playing slots , the waiter came around several times and took my drink order, delivered it and no charge. You cannot go to the casino bar yourself though, there you will be charged.
  7. Most of the negatives you are reading are not true. I am currently on silhouette and am not seeing the lowering of standards. Sorry you cancelled your cruises based on inaccurate information
  8. Im currently on the Silhouette and those pictures are from dinner because we enjoyed those fabulous deserts
  9. Currently on Silhouette as well. No complaints at all. Great food in Mdr and lots of people in ovc even for dinner. Last night they had more selections in ovc as well. Afternoon tea and snacks, they put out great assorted small sandwiches and an assortment of sweets. Regarding the crew, my stateroom attendant said they normally have 103 attendants , but since covid and the gradual increase of guests, they have 86. He said they are not over worked and sees the attendant numbers increasing as the guest numbers increase and level off to pre covid levels. He has been a stateroom attendant for 20 years and was very complimentary on how Celebrity treats them.
  10. That is not true. TSA in both Canada and USA consider cough and cold medications, essential non perscription medications . They permit greater amounts than the 3.4 ounces in your carry on luggage. The only condition is that you must advise the TSA agent what you have at security check in. DAMHIK , but that is the policy.
  11. And rather than leaving cabin empty, port taxes and gratuities get paid. Some will also add internet and contribute a little to the casino. So both the guest and Celebrity win
  12. Those who get offers dont need a minimum gambling amount, however they would have inserted or tapped their seapass card at least once to have their captains club number synced and automatically registered with the Blue Chip Club. That was explained to me on my recent cruise by a casino manager
  13. When you use a slot machine, insert/tap your seapass card and that automatically enrols you in the BCC. You can insert cash to play the slots or transfer money from your onboard acvount. The procedures are on a poster at cashier desk. Transferring money from your account to play slots, there is no service fee bit if you use your onboard account to get funds at table games there is a service fee. If it is a quiet time at cashiers desk , they are happy to go to the slot machine and walk you through all the procedures. They did for me on my first time.
  14. I just recently got off the equinox and the room service menu in the cabin shows the $9.95 surcharge
  15. Does the ship offer the same excursion? It would have to be one awesome and once in a lifetime excursion opportunity for me to take it knowing there is a high likelihood I could miss part or all of the remainder of the cruise. Just my opinion.
  16. Did Delta advise you of a United Airlines flight change?
  17. Last week the regular was “Rain” in cans
  18. Occasionally , if I know our stateroom attendant plans to go ashore at the port, i will ensure he/she has access to our stateroom early so he/she can get off early. As well I will sometimes give cash and tell them to have lunch ashore on us. Those things they appreciate . They don't exactly have hoards of storage room in their cabin for gifts.
  19. Curious if they had a separate line for those with reservations. When I was on Equinox third week of January, i made reservations pre cruise for each night, but when I went to the anytime dining room they told me (and others) our reservation meant nothing and we would have to wait to be seated until those walk ups ahead of us were seated. It was that way for all nine nights and there was never a separate line for those with reservations
