  3. When i go its slacks(khakis) and collared shirt. Some people wear ties or jacket, a few tuxes. But in my experience it is 80% slacks and shirt. Women wear mostly pants and top. You may get a wide range of answers here as each has their own preferences. On Royal, Hal, Celebrity and Azamara, i never wear a tie or jacket even in specialty restaurants. Ive never had a problem and never felt uncomfortable. I was always in the 80% group.
  4. Ive had the same issue on an upcoming cruise. And for the past week i cannot search through or book a cruise on celebrity site using an Ipad, or Macbook pro. Have tried with Safari, Chrome and Firefox. I have no problems when using my Iphone either to their site or through the App. I spoke to Celebrity IT yesterday and they said they are aware of the problems customers are having accessing and using their website. They say they are actively working to try and resolve the issues.
  5. You are 100% correct in your comments. And my wife was quick to point that out to me as well. Out of all the cruise options offered we could give them choices 1, 2, and 3. Seeing the error of my thinking (as pointed out by wife) we have responded in the affirmative with our three choices. Now we will await their call back confirming. Thanks for your response.
  6. If your friends are members of cruise critic, they may already know your feelings and you may not have to say anything.
  7. HAL is one of the Premium mass market cruise lines and you should not expect the same level of service as say Luxury lines such as Seabourn, Silversea or Regent. And their prices reflect the anticipated service. Pick an itinerary and compare those cruise lines with the premium lines prices.You get what you pay for.
  8. But those services were there for you and they cost the cruise line money. It is not their fault you did not avail yourself of them. Others did. Its not a la carte cruising .in order to make it somewhat affordable they have to price accordingly
  9. But remember that your $400+ is covering room, breakfast , snack, lunch, snack, dinner, nite snack as well as complimentary activities throughout the day and performances at night. I do like bed made each day, and towels changed as needed, but I have no problem turning down my own bed each night while I await my additional free goodies through room service. And with daily planners migrating to electronic format we dont even need them dropped at the room each night. We shouldn’t always expect champagne service on beer prices.
  10. Well my blue chip offer came today for a free veranda cabin on a wide selection of cruise dates between now and Dec 27, 2022. Of course i would have to pay grat., taxes, air, hotel. I did the math and for the most expensive cruise they were offering me it meant i was getting a $1500. Fare for free since they are struggling to fill cabins this fall and Nov. and Dec.are extremely cheap. Then my math showed me my air, tax, grats, car parking, and pre cruise hotel would cost me between $3000. And $3400. Im not knocking the $1500 gift, but i just booked a cruise a week ago on Celebrity for Jan 12, 2023. Same thing happened in 2019 . I booked a cruise for December 2019 and one week later i received a blue chip free veranda offer from celebrity on a cruise leaving on same day as my first cruise ended. And it would have been impossible to get to the free cruise on time. coincidence that it happened to me twice?
  11. You are assuming a lot in your interpretation of what happens with the ratings. If we were to follow your advice the information provided to management would be meaningless. I like to call it as it is. If service is poor I say so (within reason). If service is good to exceptional I say so and reward it accordingly. I try to stay away from woke way of thinking
  12. Are they still placing them in your cabin each day? on July cruise to Alaska they were not available. Info on daily activities was only available on the App or the inroom television. I like receiving the printed copy each day
  13. I have used cruise air in the past and found great prices for one way International flights. However for roundtrip flights within North America, I’ve found better prices by booking direct with the airlines. I’ve been fortunate with the flights i have booked with celebrity in that I have never had to contact them enroute regarding any issues. in March my daughter and her family cruised out of Fort Lauderdale. They booked a flight through celebrity which flew Toronto-Charlotte-Fort Lauderdale. When they landed in Charlotte they learned their flight to FLL was cancelled. No other flights available. They contacted Celebrity after trying for 3 hours and were told Celebrity would look at what arrangements they could make and call back. After four more hours and no call back and unable to contact anyone at Celebrity they approached the Airline themselves( nicely and on bended knee). Airline was able to squeeze them on a flight that night. Two days later, while on the cruise they got a message from Celebrity saying that they were working on getting them to the ship. Just one bad experience, I am sure lots of people have had better experience.
  14. Ive done all those things and an apple tech also troubleshoot with me and found nothing wrong on my or the ipad’s part

The issue of no x or arrow to get out of deck view is in the app. The different times for arrival and departure is when I use chrome instead of Safari to sign in to th celebrity website to work on my cruise. Sorry for the confusion. I use chrome to sign in to celebrity website because when i sign in with safari the site says an error occured and i cant navigate through their site. I have worked with apple to troubleshoot to see if it was my ipad causing the problem. We came to the conclusion that it was a celebrity website issue. Seems to affect different users differently
  16. No. No x and no <. On my iphone i have the x and the arrow. I tried touching the same spot on my ipad but didnt work. also my wife and i are both on a southern cruise to ABC in January and when we sign in to our cruise hers shows a different arrival and departure at each port than mine. We both sign in using chrome and we both click on shore excursions and when the next screen comes up that is where the arrival and departure times are different. Mine matches the booking confirmation and hers doesn’t
  17. My ipad is 3 months old, with latest os 15.7. My issue is that if i open deck plans, i cannot get back to the shore excursions etc without restarting my ipad. I will just keep using my iphone, just that with age i was trying to have larger screen and larger text. Lol

  19. My celebrity app works fine on my iphone but not on my Ipad. At the top of the screen, tapping on the ship logo or the other two logos does not work, i have to swipe the screen left or right. If i go to view deck plans i cannot get back to other screens. I have to shut my ipad off and restart it. Are others having this issue or amI doing something wrong? I tried deleting and downloading new app.
  20. Have been experiencing this problem for several days on Ipad using Safari. Apple support had me clear cookies, reset network and several other steps but it did not correct the issue. I Accessed Celebrity website on same Ipad using Chrome and it works fine. Apple concluded that it is a Celebrity website issue and not my Ipad issue.
  21. Im still having problems accessing my reservation using safari on my ipad but on same ipad using Chrome, i have no issues
  22. I cannot search on their website page using two different ipads. I keep getting repeated error. But i have no problems using my macbookpro and iphone
