We were on the Crown last month on Aloha deck and yes the stabilizers do make noise especially at high speed or during weather and seas. Just part of cruising did not affect our cruise
We are still getting free balcony offers and have 7 booked through 2025. Our free play however which used to be $600 to $1,000 per person and those are now $250 to $400. We sail next month for 16 days most of which are at sea. We will see what offers we get
Well you are still waiting eating princess pastries and coffee while I am dining at 4 star restaurants. Last month in SF I disembarked at 8:30 and the were already lined up down to the Embarcadero Besides I will be on board for 2-3 week plenty of time to meet others
And playing black jack and eating in the MDR. It was on the older Sun Princess and windows were knocked out in passenger cabins. Quite the experience. Some people actually left the ship in Acapulco and this was a canal trip to Lauderdale
Heck I went through a cruise right after 9/11 where we sailed through a full hurricane with 40 foot waves and an FBI search with dogs where we were pulled off the ship in our swimsuits for 2 hours. No complaining and this was before drink packages you should have seen my bar bill but complaints no
So I don’t use room service so I want something else to make up for it like an extra specialty dinner or a 3rd mini bar. Maybe they need to have a menu for suites so you can say trade laundry services for unlimited casual meals
Some people are always looking for something for nothing. It’s like the people who visit New Orleans around Mardi Gras and complain because it was noisy and they couldn’t sleep.
The US customs takes almost no time at all. Basically you are scanning your passport and looking at a screen. There are usually at least a dozen or more stations there
We were on a full ship sailing on the Crown that was a VIP cruise and some evenings there were times when it was nearly impossible to get a seat at a table or a machine
If they should get that why shouldn’t they get free casual meals or exercise classes or desserts or a number of other things that are only included if you get a package
I occasionally are on 7 day cruises as part of a b2b and still believe it is worth it but each to their own. Most of our cruises are 14+ days. The point of this thread however is that people in suites should get free room service and free OceanNow while admitting that that is not part of suite perks
Most non Royal or Sphere class ships only have a couple of casual venues and some of them may be pop ups. Vines has only one available 3 course meal no choices
They appear to be talking about the OceanNow feature and seem to think that they can use the feature without paying and just get a limited menu. No true all or nothing
In almost every embarkation port we are boarding later. So many people want to board early that makes for long lines everywhere. We now go have lunch and then show up around 2:00 for a 4:00 or 4:30 departure and there are no lines
If you don’t activate the feature I don’t believe you can even use the feature. We never use it since we are out and about the ship getting food and drinks at venues
It seems to be different on some ships. We are in the Crown Grill on the Crown in February and were not charged the 18% just the $39 per person. We sail next month on the Ruby and we will see what happens
