Without the back of the house employees the front of the house employees would not have the tools they need to make your cruise what you expect it to be. Call it tips or bonus whatever you like to me it is all the same. It would be the same as saying I didn’t go to guest services so I am going to hold back some cash. How many of you tip guest services when they solve a problem for you
So how do they get in ? When I have cruised on Royal class ships you needed a special card to access the lounge. If all elites could use it they would be overflowing out to the corridor
Not hiding but not available. The only thing I have been able to use OBC prior to boarding is excursions. I guess that is why it is called On Board Credit
We stick to basics Grey Goose vodka up stirred not shaken and 2 Woodford reserve bourbon Manhattan light on vermouth stirred not shaken. Can’t go wrong with the old school drinks. If I want fruit juice I will order a glass of juice
There is no sit down option on that ship especially on embarkation day. There is no venue for it. If they do a pop up it will have a cost to it or burning a casual dining credit. Sabatini’s is usually used for full suite breakfast and dinner. On the Crown they opened it for one lunch but it was the full price dinner menu
I would never book the first cruise after a dry dock. Always things that need to be put in order. As for a cocktail party I assume that you are platinum or elite with Princess ? We have always gotten a invite although we never go to watered down drinks and sales pitches
It sounds like you ate in the MDR on embarkation night. My question is why didn’t you take the advantage of a free Sabatini’s dinner. Lots of pasta choices
Since we are reserve diners and I don’t even own a tie I hope I don’t bring down your expectations. We have sailed at least 9 times since restart and long sleeve shirt is really my only change from what I wear on casual nights
There is no need to reserve the first night free specialty restaurant for full suites in advance. We have always just called the dine line and gotten the restaurant and time we like. They keep tables empty for suites.
Personally we have not gotten any bounce back, snail mail or email deals. However by accident I clicked on a trip we had looked at before and lo and behold there were offers. Got ahold of our CVP and rebooked 2 cruises and saved around $13,000 on a 16 day Panama and a 17 day Alaska. Included plus and some free play
It is a Texas state law. Their laws do not allow for drink packages and you can only serve alcohol that was bought in Texas. Therefore very few choices until out onto the high seas
