  1. It seems to be not how much you gamble but time spent. We play slots at low level Around $2 to $3 per spin but play for around 3 hours or so a night. We get offers constantly for free balconies plus free play However the free play which used to be around $1,200 for the 2 of us and now the amounts are down to around $800
  2. I think everyone who has the “old” plus plan will still get everything but the “NEW” items. There is no way they will try to differentiate between 2 plus beverage packages
  3. Yes unlimited. No real dry cleaning but something Princess uses that does not involve hot water
  4. We have never been asked for proof of embarkation time in 4 cruises this year and we have cruised from LA SF and VAN
  5. You can get your name in the list for chefs dinner by calling the dine line as soon as you board. I talk to the manager at the suite breakfast to arrange any specialty dinners I want to book. Those in full suites also get a free specialty dinner on embarkation night so you could talk to someone then
  6. We booked a trans Atlantic on the Regal. Penthouse suite, Princess Plus, insurance and transfers on both ends for under $1,000 per day. We thought that was not a bad deal
  7. If you have uploaded your vac records to the app any time in the past they will be accessible to check in staff. We have not had to show a paper copy on any of our cruises in 2022
  8. This is not a surprise. There have never been concierge lounges on nonRoyal class ships. It does not change our cruises much except using them to get tables in specialty restaurants. On Grand class ships we just talk to the restaurant manager in Sabatini’s and they always arrange things for us. The lounges are nice but don’t really make our cruise any less enjoyable
  9. I will post this query one more time. Why are there a plethora of threads from people taking a Princess cruise that end in saying don’t cruise Princess cruise Celebrity ?
  10. I would not worry. We have walked into specialty restaurants on the day we want to eat and gotten tables. Rarely been turned away
  11. I have been on 4 cruises in 2022 and had turndown service and fresh sheets regularly on all
  12. I am not sure French butter is good for you but it sure tastes good
  13. Concierges and lounges only exist on Royal class ships at this time. I don’t see them repurposing another room on Grand class ships
  14. If you have a package your tips are already paid for. If you go ala carte and order a drink you are billed an 18% tip so that would take care of it. We rarely order food, we know how to find the dining rooms, buffet and outside grill
  15. My understanding is that you will get the new limits on beverages but you will not get the “new” items such as fancy desserts or free fitness classes unless you pay the upgrade. All the promos I have seen show a big”NEW” next to those items
  16. I am curious about what about the “new” premier plan would make you want to change from the plus package. For us the value comes from the beverage packages, WiFi and gratuities. We have never done fitness classes, don’t need extra desserts, have had way enough pictures taken over the last 30 years and spend more time in bars and casinos than at shows. Also we sail long cruises so a few specialty dinners over a 21 day cruise is not really a big winner
  17. The increase in plus packages is basically about 1 extra drink a day. If you already drink 5 or more per day like we do it really pays for itself without fitness classes or extra desserts
  18. I would check with your PVP or TA. Several years ago you could pay for the transfer from the Princess hotel even if you were not staying there. It is quite a long way from downtown Tome to the airport
  19. That is because the port area is considered y to be administered by the federal government and that is where customs agents are. Ship rules are ship rules not laws especially when they are in international waters
  20. Fitness classes have never been free. Working out on your own has always been free
  21. In Rome at least in the past there was a transfer from a Rome hotel to the ship. I did this several years ago
  22. Sounds like it is time to remove this thread as it is getting personal. Was on the Ruby last month and food was generally good but spinach was way over salted. What did I do ? Stopped ordering spinach. I was ic club class and if spinach was the veggie I just asked for a different vegetable. No problama
  23. Just a note offers seem to be not as great as before. We are getting offers for free balcony and $400 in free play. Before we were getting from $600 to $1,000 in the free play. We have always been able to upgrade to full suites for a price as long as there are some available
  24. The complimentary specialty dinner on embarkation night does not count against any extra ones you have. If you board early the suite will probably not be ready but usually is around noon ish. The mini bar includes the beers and soft drinks in the fridge. You can change alcohol for different types of alcohol but choices are limited and upgraded brands are not part of the mini bar
  25. My point exactly these are rules not laws so I didn’t understand your comment about making something legal
