  1. By keeping your balcony door open you can cause issues for the shared HVAC system. At least this is what we have been told by several Engineers on the ships
  2. I don’t think anyone would book reserve to save money you usually book them for location and dining without waits or reservations
  3. When I see you at the head of the line that is my cue to go back to the cabin to think about showering and changing for pre dinner drinks. LOL
  4. Even prior to this change those reserve mini suites have always sold out well before sailing
  5. They will allow you to split a casual meal. We have done that on our last 3 cruises
  6. Our cat as ad a few seizures over the last few months taking him to the neurologist on Wednesday. Hope all can be done soon
  7. For us it is way way to much food. The portions tend to be humongous
  8. Thank goodness I have no urge to sail on that ship
  9. Not sure where you get there Over 8 cruises in the last 3 years we have never seen this The lounge has always been in a lounge. This is on both Grand and Royal class ships
  10. Yes there used to be that and pasta salads. Have not seen those for over 6 months
  11. We were on with Captain Lewis and family earlier this month and they are all lovely
  12. Those are elite parties not MTG. MTG is top 50 most days at sea. Actually it is top 20 since each one can bring a guest
  13. I believe this was about the IC. The MDR is not open on port days for lunch
  14. We have credit cards registered with our vets and the emergency pet hospital here. Just in case our pet sitter has to take them in but still want the email communication. You are so right to look after your pets
  15. And they used to have salads they went away on most ships I have been on
  16. There are thousands of elite passengers. Taking something from a few is questionable. It is my belief that the captain calls the shots not staff captains or cruise consultants
  17. And as I mentioned it is really up to the captain some enjoy the luncheon some do not. Captain Lewis on the Grabd says he loves the conversation at the luncheon
  18. I am not sure where you heard that. I was on the Grand for 2 weeks earlier this month and we had lovely luncheons. Both the captain so called cruise consultant assured us that it was up to the captain which to do we have seen both over our 35 years of cruising. In fact our most memorable was a champagne and snacks on the bridge while next to Hubbard glacier
  19. My mother in law contracted covid 2 years ago at the age of 97 while we were on a cruise We were glad to have email to stay in touch with her, family and her doctors via email
  20. As long as corkage was paid you can basically take it to and from your cabin and any dining room
  21. They should not count against your 15. We usually only have one if we are celebrating something. Our usual mid day drinks are at Crooners around noon. Prosecco for her and Captain Morgan and OJ for me
  22. You do realize you cannot “book” reserve dining. Only full suites and reserve mini suites can eat there
